Verizon not fighting back?

Anyone notice that AT&T keeps popping out these commercials dissing different things about Verizon? They got a fat Luke Wilson to step up and exclaim the same things commercial after commercial, at&t has faster 3g, most popular smartphones, talk and data at the same time. Now they are personally attacking the Droid in their restaurant commercial. I like how:
A: Operation Chokehold proved at&t 3g blows
B: they have ONE popular smartphone
C: you need to be able to hold a call to use talk and data at the same time
D: the Droid has multi-task, multi-touch, huge display, and Verizon 3G

i think theres clearly a winner here, and its not the people dumping millions into tv commercials instead of network upgrades

hopefully VZW's new commercials are in the making where the iPhone is literally throwing in the white flag and saying "wow, i can't do that, that's INCREDIBLE" when watching the HTC Incredible in action.

LOL - good one.

Yeah, I think most realize that AT&T's retorts aren't addressing the Verizon attack. All those benefits AT&T spouts in their commercials are still limited to the same pathetic coverage maps.

I wanna see the Incredible, Supersonic and N1 hit Verizon shelves and throw out some commercials aimed directly at At&t and the Iphone. I want to hear the Apple Fan boys crying if/when Verizon goes all out and blasts at&t about shotty coverage and the Iphone for being a POS.
- i love sitting in my college classes and watching the Iphone users cry cause their FASTER 3G COVERAGE is slower then AOL dialup circa 1999. Then i pull out my Eris and surf pages faster then they can stay "Steve Jobs". F*ck the Iphone, Verizon should know better then to let that Apple crap on our network.
- The Droid + Eris combo is running circles around the Iphone, and whats that...*stares into the distance* Devour and Incredible? . . . game on At&t

Just remember that if the rumors are true about Verizon and Apple launching the Verizon iPhone this year, it will limit how Verizon can attack AT&T, (just the service and not the hardware).

hopefully all those apple fan boys will stay the hell away from our network. I'm alright with the phone coming to Verizon, but i don't want the bandwidth disaster to happen to us as well. I think Verizon is quite a bit better off in terms of a strong network then At&t but still don't want an overload of the network.

I wonder whats gonna happen when at&t loses exclusivity to the iphone, "most popular smartphones" line is shot to hell. I say Verizon grabs the consumer reports of the telecom companies and just runs 15 second ads with Bruce Willis saying he could kick Luke Wilson's a$$ while Verizon's scores speak for them self.

All of AT&T's commercials are a retort from the Droid Does Campaign. Verizon fought back by restructuring its voice/data price plans so that those who don't use a lot of data have a cheaper point of entry. Verizon has also started giving free wifi access points to mobile broadband subscribers.

AT&T is spending lots of money to counterattack Verizon AND lower their prices to compete. It seems like they don't need to fight back as they've caused AT&T to increase its marketing budget AND lower its revenues. If they give FiOS subscibers free wifi access points like AT&T does for Youverse users, it's going to get very interesting.

-The Iphone needs to stay off of VZW. Android users grow by the day and its gonna keep on climbing. Will VZW Android users catch at&t Iphone users in numbers? i think yes. i do not think we will have the problems with bandwidth that at&t has due to Verizon's amazing network and their soon to be LTE network on the way.

-As 3devious stated mobile broadband users now have access to free wifi points, so maybe VZW is starting to realize that customers want more for the high prices we pay. Now they need to realize that customers who have smartphones on their network do not want the bandwidth sapping evil that is the iphone to steal all the 3g.

-If we get the iphone all those apple fan-boys are gonna start taking the bandwidth searching the internet for ways to
A: Improve their icrap
B: find a way to praise Steve Jobs more

Why do you guys hate on the iPhone so much? Its a great phone, I like my droid better for reasons aotnod basic users wouldn't care about. Some things about the iphone I like are its clean OS, unrivalled aesthetics and the fact its GSM, I hate how the OS doesn't allow for too much customizatipn though, that the app store is tightly controlled (llike carriers breathing on apples shoulder) and that it doesn't combine all your txts, emails, ect in a "bar" at the top. Also the iphone is such a cult like phone.

For me personally, (and I know you are not directing your post to me), I think the iPhone is a great design, but I see so much more potential in the open Android platform. I must say that as a pilot, the iPhone has so many more apps that are usable for me, but I like the openness of the platform, and from what I am hearing, Android on the pilot side is starting to catch up.

So, since I wouldn't get an iPhone anyway, I guess I am a little selfish in hoping that it does not come to Verizon.

No offense meant.

I'm not saying I'm a fanboy but there is allot of blind hate for such a revolutionary device, the iphone never brought anything new it just presented it in a great design and way. I feel the same way as you btw so absolutely no offense taken.

Megan Fox did help i bet. And the reason i dislike the iphone is cause i seriously dislike apple products as a whole. I'm a graphic designer and constantly use both PC and Mac. When I'm in class and stuck with a mac everything takes an hour longer to do and the damn thing crashes every five seconds. I've lost quite a few projects already including one i was getting paid for and had to completely re create.

stay away from our network iphone, stay with your shitty at&t and Luke Wilson.

Luke Wilson vs. Megan Fox? Clear winner here

Anyone who finds that picture megan fox took and PM s it to me ill be very happy haha.
Verizon just lets the Droid and their 3G do the talking now. The only reason AT&Ts 3g is faster is because there isn't as many people using it as verizon's because they have little coverage. (The Megan Fox Superbowl ad may have helped verizon too :))
Uh no...its the technology. HSPA is much faster than verizons EVDO, its just at&t implimented it pretty bad.
