Help DINC: Corrupt Account Mail

I think I'm using the HTC Mail app on my Dinc. I have it setup to get mail from several different accounts: 1) my charter.net account, 2) 2 gmail accounts, 3) a hotmail account, and 4) my work account. I have a total of 5 accounts that I receive mail from.

From time to time, the email in one account start showing up in another account...but I can't view them there, nor can I delete them, but they show in the list of emails. It's like a database some place is getting corrupted.

How can I solve this? {I did try to find an existing thread on this problem as I figure others must be having this problem too -- no luck.}

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I have used this same means before to rid myself of this problem. The reason I didn't mention it is because I was hoping for a true fix rather than a way around the problem, which is what I consider this to be.

I think the basic problem is that google is clueless in their development of Android.

If its the HTC mail app that is the problem, why are you blaming google?

It's google's fault that HTC can't code an app properly while many other developers have made perfectly functioning e-mail apps?

Should try k9 mail or touchdown.

I might try one of these..thanks...but you can't know where the fault lies until you determine what is causing the problem. You don't know it's a fault with the app...it could be a problem with the file system or even the medium on which the data is stored.

To me it sounds like the database files are linking to the wrong accounts which would be an issue with the app itself because all of that info is self contained in a sandbox type environment.

Except they are linking to the right accounts and the wrong accounts. It's not just showing only mail from the other account, but from the right account too. And only the mail from the right account is active...the rest just shows up in the list.

All comments are just speculation, including mine blaming google.

I have had the problem several times in the past and have had to delete the account and rebuild it, which has been quite a hassle. A real answer to this issue would be nice, but I guess since HTC only cares about hardware and does not pay attention to its software, it will never be corrected. So I guess we will be deleting e-mail accounts and rebuilding them forever.
