Samsung Google Nexus S I9023 or Samsung Galaxy SL i9003?

which is better? Samsung Google Nexus S I9023 or Samsung galaxy SL i9003?? I like gaming, multitasking and surfing the web using a mobile phone.. This is my first android phone so i don't want to waste my money.

is the screen of Samsung Google Nexus S I9023 is scratch resistant like gorilla glass? and does it have "pinch-zoom" options.. thanks for your opinion..

I can't confirm that it has Gorilla Glass, but even if it did, I'd recommend getting a screen protector anyway so it's kind of a moot point (for me anyway).

I'd take it because it's vanilla Android, straight from Google as it was meant to be. the Touchwiz overlay on the SL is very iPhoneish and not to the taste of some people. You can change that easily enough, but I still prefer the basic experience. Also, as it's a Google device, it will get ICS (Android 4.0) A LOT faster than the SL, when/if ICS is released to other handsets.

It also looks as though the SL has an SC-LCD screen which isn't a patch on the AMOLED screen of the Nexus.

Those are my views anyway, if you've got the chance, have a play about with both. The SL might have a better feel to it then the Nexus.

I have the i9003, and while this is a good phone, what's nice about the Nexus is that there is less bloatware. However there are a few handy features that TouchWiz adds thats not on stock Google, but not so sure about whether some of these things can or cannot be added via apps.

For example (I may be mistaken though), apparently stock Google cannot make video calls over 3G unless via Skype or similar software, which also needs to be installed on the recepient. SGSL can video call over 3G out of the box to any phone that supports video calling.

Nexus S will be better in gaming because it has better GPU. Multitasking should be the same. There's practically no difference in multitasking for most Android phones because unlike Nokia multitasking where everything is left running and thus slows the down the phone when there are too many open apps, this doesnt happen on Android. Android automatically closes apps that have too long been left unused or when RAM gets too low, and just caches the app, so that when you open it and it reloads, it restarts back where you left it. Some apps dont support this though. However the SGSL does have more available RAM (512mb vs 624mb), so it wont close and cache apps as often as Nexus S.
