Help No 4G, Used to have it, now it is gone

Been two full days, what is the deal:eek: i have tried all the usual tips, nothing. i guess i should be happy that at least i have 3G. Are they going to fix this soon, or going to wait tell everyone is having the issue.

I'm assuming that "all the usual tips" is, rebooting, battery pull (waiting 30 secs), Airplane mode on (than off, after waiting a spell)?

BTW, mine has been holding it's 4g pretty consistent. The only times I have seen drops is when I'm in a hospital, or building like that, where it drops to 3g until I get near the exit again.

EDIT: Also, I use the "LTE ON/OFF" app (free) to switch between 3g and 4g:
https://market.android.com/details?id=net.andirc.lteonfoff&feature=search_result
If you use that app, after clicking on ICON > scroll down until you see the drop down arrow (GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) - changing it to "CDMA auto (PRL)" is for 3g AND "GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)" is for 4g. Maybe toggling back and forth will fix it. Unless it's an area thing or a phone bug in your Bionic.

I EDITED my above reply adding another idea:

Tried the App, No Help. 3G only. I have checked all the settings, guess it is a trip back to the verizon store.

Are you in an area that is being expanded? I was in an area last weekend where 4G was supposed to be up today and had 4G but it was flaky. My connection would drop to 3G every so often adn sometimes I never got any data. Then again there was an outage. Im thinking somethings up in your area if the towers were being modified or w/e. Could also aske the vzw reps to see if something is up in the area.

I had it for a couple days, the tower is real near my house. I will have to call them and see if there is a outage, but a couple of days seem strange.

I dunno if this is the same issue with 4G tower but its something I have seen and hear in the past. There are dead spots in wireless towers that exist when you're too close to a tower. It's the same as if you were using a wireless router and sat your laptop right next to it. Some laptops will not detect the router because the signal was too strong or w/e. I doubt this is the issue but throwing that out there lol. Hopefully the issue is tower related and not your phone so you dont have to make a trip to the store to return it or w/e you decide to do.

So I called Verizon, and spent 45 minutes or so on the phone with them. Did the normal BS, factory reset , bla, bla, bla. They say the phone checks out, saying it is a network issue. Trouble ticket opened, 5 days to get it resolved they say. Why am i not surprised. I will post the outcome if there is one....LOL

I don't think you're the only one having this problem. I'm in Dallas and mine has dropped ALL data connections for hours at a time every day starting on the 17th. I haven't had 4g at all today and 3g was off for at least five hours.

None of the typical tricks (mentioned above) fix the problem. And it's not location because the phone worked perfectly on 4g for the first 4-5 days at my home and work.

I've got no idea what to do with this thing.

Also, my wife's DX sits there happily running 3g when my Bionic's dead, so I have trouble believing it might be the network.

There isa a thread ... http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-bionic/430254-lost-data.html ... that thread is a report from all over the country of this problem. It affectted 3G and 4G in 4G LTE phones only. Others who were using 3G in the same area were not affected.

It has gone on for a few days. You loose all data for a while and then it comes back with no interaction from you.

It is happening here where I am.
