So, I looked at my phone charger, it was all burnt up, smelt like smoke. Took it out, and yep. It was burnt. So I turned my computer on and used another micro usb, and it was still smoking. So, I don't know if maybe my phone got to hot? I woke up and the phone was under my body, so maybe that's one reason. But, I let it sit for a bit. 10 minutes and I plugged it in and it was still smoking. Has anyone had this issue?

No doubt, I called up the insurance company they redirected me too, I explained the situation to them and the lady just laughed and kept saying "Wow, you're the first I've heard to have this issue in my years of working" I don't see what could of happened, my phone was just fried, but it could still turn on, but it was a very odd way you had to do it.

But, I called them and had to pay 65 dollars to get a new phone shipped, just have to send this one back when it gets here.

I guess it's better than paying 150.

Years back when I was with Bellsouth Mobility/Cingular/At&t. I had a Nokia 3150 overheat and start smoldering. The funny thing was that it was a day out of warranty and wasn't plugged up either.

this almost happened to me, I was cooking dinner and i plugged my phone into charge when I came back it had fallen in between my couch cushions and the phone felt extremely hot and a message appeared on the screen saying, "temperature too hot or cold to charge". I let it cool down and everything turned out ok. I guess what i am getting at is watch where you charge your phone. :D
