So I got tired of having to manually holding the power+volume keys to go into recovery every time so I added the Recovery menu option to the power menu. Sharing here in case anyone else would like to have it as well. I also took a look at the 4-way boot mod and I personally just prefer having the option directly on the main Power menu instead of a submenu.

Firstly, thanks to Isaacj87 for putting together the MIUI port!
Secondly, thanks to untermensch on xda for the guide.

I REPLACED the Guard option on the power menu so if you like that option, DO NOT use this mod. Basically, you can't change the array size from 5 options to 6 options without the phone crashing when creating the dialog--there's a bunch of verifications on the dialog size in a bunch of different places that is a real pain to try and follow. I didn't want to mess with that so, since I never used the Guard option anyways, I just replaced it--and I don't know how to make a popup window in smali like the Recovery option on CM7 so I don't have any plans on doing that as well at this time.

I also changed the carrier name to MIUI.

In order to see the power menu Phone Options dialog, you need to change your Toggle Settings to Compact view, otherwise, it will just show you your notification bar toggles when you hold down your Power button. To do that:

Settings --> Personal Tab --> Toggle Settings --> Compact

Or as bing7625 mentioned, you can lock your phone and then hold down the power button on the lockscreen.

This has only been tested with Isaac's current 11-30 MIUI builds. Instructions to install:

1. Download Zip file and flash in ClockworkMod recovery.

all the good mods i've found for such things as this can be found here

MIUI Mods

but there is a better 4-way reboot mod that can be found there also that allows direct boot into bootloader, recovery, normal boot, and hot boot (reload only OS) that is on that site also but a direct link is here

The 4-way reboot mod never worked on the previous builds. Does it work now?

Edit: Also, don't forget that when you use a generic mod like the 4-way reboot mod in the link, you're overwriting system files that Isaac may have changed to get certain features to work in our port.

it works fine and i've not seen any problems after flashing it. i also flashed the volume+ mod for the purpose of switching tracks while my screen is off by long pressing volume up or down, and everything seems awesome and works flawlessly!

Does not work on new build, try and you will not be a happy camper. Lets just say I took one for the teem.

Wow must of missed the update by about 20 minutes as I just now finished my restore. Figured I would give the zip previously posted a go with the new build after reading the 4 way worked and ended up listening to the new Miui boot sound a few times over until I did a batt pull & restore, all is now good and updated zip worked like a charm. I would flash this for no other reason then for replacing Virgin Mobil with Miui!

updated op.

Also, I tried out the 4-way boot mod that bing7625 linked and it does work. However, the fastboot option didn't work and I can't see myself needing to ever use the hotboot option which just leaves the normal and recovery boots and for that, I just prefer having the options directly on the main power menu. So I decided to update this mod.

Downloading now! Thank you so much! And thanks for trying the 4 way boot mod. I was going to, myself, but now there's no need.

The notification style is something I wish CM7 had, it's the only thing that I super like about MIUI. It's just awesome :).
Mantera could you please make a mod for this on CM7, is it even possible?????
