I have a weird issue with my MT. The notification LED always blinks after i've received a phone call and turns off the screen, even when I have no messages , missed calls, texts, or email. Does anyone know the cause and the fix for it?

I'm also using my google voice number to dial and receive phone calls btw, but it shouldn't matter right?

Thanks!!

Yep that returns off the notification for me as well, but it's kinda annoying having to remember to open the phone app after every phone call just to clear the notification. Otherwise I would turn on my phone to check later because I thought I had a missed call/message or something.
So far this looks like a bug to me.

I'm not sure this is a bug. The flashing LED indicates some notification not handled (email, phone call, something else). If you just call your number and let it ring once, the unit does send a notification to the notification bar that you missed a call from xxx... and there is an entry in the call log.

I suppose you want to be able to configure that so for phone calls, it only flashes the LED if there is a call that ends up going to voice-mail? I think the more conservative notification (what it is doing now), the behavior is consistent with what I expect.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. The notification LED blinks even when I don't have any missed calls. It blinks simply after I've received the call, talked for a bit, then hang up.

Ahh. I see. I tried it and replicated your observation. You might ask that it be recorded in the Motorola Triumph - Common Issues thread at the Motorola Owner's Forum, where we are trying to capture all the problems with the phone. I'm in agreement with you, that if no notification message is posted to the notification bar (and there isn't if you answer the incoming call and talk), that it could be a bug. It shouldn't be necessary to be notified of something you missed, when you didn't miss it. In addition, having to go to the Call log, in this scenario doesn't seem to make sense.

I just saw the thread and noticed that you've reported the issue already. saving me from registering... :D

I tried few methods to get rid of the light with tasker, but that didn't seem to work without effecting other notifications. BTW I noticed on my phone at least, opening up the phone app after the phone call will not clear the notification LED. To clear it, I had to drop down the notification area, or just tap on the status bar will do.
