Dolphin update = force close

As the title says, I did the latest Dolphin update and now it force closes every single time. Can't even get past "Do you want make Dolphin your default browser".

Anyone else have this issue?

yes, and, as mentioned in the Market, you have to uninstall/reinstall. Say goodbye to bookmarks and preferences. Hope you have you bookmarks backed up :)

Hi:

You can sync your bookmarks to gmail by:
Going to the home page, hitting the X, hit the menu button and you'll see the sync option. I backed up my bookmarks before updating and restored them without a problem.

Personally I set my homepage to Xmarks, Xmarks | Bookmark Sync and Search. Firefox has a plugin that synchronizes your bookmarks between any computer or mobile phone. After you sign up, free, and sync your bookmarks, just set your homepage to my.xmarks.com. You set your home page by going to menu, settings and then system settings.

I pass my bookmarks to my friends so I use the dolphin bookmarks for my personal email accounts and some misc. pages. It works really well for me and I don't have to laboriously text in all of the horrible urls on my phone.

lost amidst the mourning for lost bookmarks and regretting fc's 'cuz the "uninstall" message got lost is...

Dolphin's Back!

I dumped it for XScope when Dolphin did away with a) scrollbars and b) scrollbyvolumerocker.

I like scrollbars and onehanded read-a-column-of-text-while-eating-a-burger.

Both are back, and now the scrollbyvolumerocker doesn't even go "tunk" with each use any more. Yay!

XScope's still pretty strong, but I like the fit 'n finish of Dolphin a bit more. Both are fast. Both pinch to zoom.

Android apps really are an amazing adaptive ecosystem- fun to watch features show up and propagate from app to app.

I've avoided the last couple of updates to Dolphin due to the negative comments in the market, but now it seems to be acting wonky. It's moving from my favorite browser to my 2nd choice.

I would like to get a (solid) update, though. Can anyone confirm with this latest update if clicking a link from email or another app will open a new window in Dolphin, or overwrites an existing open window? My version still opens a fresh window for your app, and I don't want to update until it goes back to this behavior.
