***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Well seeing how preorders start at 12:01 tonight for the razr( which was said by moto) yes it will be released before the nexus and I am going to say you don't really have "a source"

Simply stating what I found out. I know the Razr preorder starts tomorrow. Some were talking about the possibility of the Nexus releasing on the same day as the Razr in stores. That won't happen. The Razr will hit stores before the Nexus.

I just heard back this morning. I had to delete part of a sentence that I thought didn't matter, but might be to revealing regarding the source. Perhaps I'm being too paranoid, but it doesn't affect anything, information- wise.

Steven

Steven,

I haven't heard anything about "upgraded specs",but if there are,it'll be a larger battery, most likely. The one I had was 1850,I believe, which is well above the GSM model. I definitely haven't heard anything about a different processor or GPU.

Phones going to testers this late in the game is pretty routine. The iPhone 4 was in testers' hands up to 48 hours before release, mainly just to continue testing CDMA. There wasn't any problem, they were just taking advantage of the time they had. On the release date,I'm hearing the 3rd for release from some people, while others are telling me that the 3rd is for pre-ordering. Xxxxxxxxxx (deleted) [I won't] hear the final decision first-hand,so I'm not sure. I do know that about a month or a little more ago the 17th was locked in as the date for release, and then it was changed to the earlier date for the 3rd. I'd heard that the 3rd was definite, but these things tend to become "undefinite",unfortunately.

Thanks for the info. I hope the 3rd holds true but will just wait and see if verizon pushes it back.

Someone posted this way back in this thread and I tend to agree. If the Razr is released on the 11/3, it would make sense for Verizon to release on the 17th which is right at the end of their 14 day return period.

As much as I would like my ICS GNex on the 3rd or the 10th, I'm starting to believe the 17th might be the date.

Big Red, please prove me wrong!

I'm hearing Razr will be released on the 3rd and the Razr before the Nexus. I would be willing to bet the Nexus will go on pre-order on the 3rd.

This makes more sense than my previous post. Razr on 3rd and Nexus on 17th. I was given no date for the Nexus but given a date for the Razr and told the Nexus would come later.

That makes sense for it to go on preorder the 3rd. Verizon is about making money on data plans they dont care what phone you have the more high end phones the better chance to get new customers 14 day return policy or not.

Doesn't make sense, to me. I just wait a week to buy the razr. Then if I don't like it? Go for the Gnexus.
