There are so many threads and posts complaining about 2.3.3 issues.

Is there anybody out there that did the 2.3.3 update and has not had any troubles or problems?

I just want to know if it is just some or all of us that are having problems. Best Buy Telus Exchange is goibg to fedex me a refurbished phone and I want to know before I attempt another update.

Worked fine for me. Everything's good except for my calendar restore... LG has some ******ed PC sync enable calendar that doesn't sync with google Calendar. But hey, small price to pay. ;)

Otherwise, I find it snappier in most operations (Probably due to Dalvik optimizations)

Reverted back to 2.1 because of wifi issue + Screen freeze. Happened 3-4 times today alone... Oh well!

Hi folks,
I must say I was happier with 2.1
The 2.3.3 upgrade went well except for a few glitches. But the one big thing for me was losing my FM Radio. It gives an error on startup, and before the upgrade it worked perfectly. I use it all the time. I see that some of the listers are reverting back to 2.1
Can I do that? My phone is not rooted and I didn't do anything special when I updated it (i.e I didn't pull the SD card or anything.
Thanks to those who replied to my earlier post. Very informative.
cheers

I am liking this update except for the screen issue I mentioned in another post. Others have said there are wifi problems but Ive always had problems with the reconnect coming back with wifi range and thats with 2 different routers and a much longer bootup though I have recently installed all kinds of new apps and have 25MB free. Most likely culprit on that. Other than the screen issue, Overall I like the update and it also changed the keypad and menu status to black from grey which kinda gives it a darker look/feel.

When I first got my phone I didnt even know about updates or anything and was forced into going from v10c to v10d when I discovered I had roaming issues when I went to the states recently.

Yeah just noticed FM Radio gets a force close. I am tuned into the last station I was on (hardly ever used it - I used internet radio more).

FM Radio issues after doing a factory reset or not?

I'm pretty sure alot of the Shine Plus issues can be resolved by clearing the app's data. The only one I've noticed that is still a problem for most is the screen freeze which hopefully I can help resolve if I get some logcats. Problem is that I can't reproduce it on my girlfriend's phone because she's running a custom ROM.

Did a reset on the phone via the setup menu.
So now the FM Radio works fine!
But now some other glitches seem evident.
For example I downloaded WinAmp from the Market and when I play stuff it cuts out and eventually needs to force-close. I had WinAmp on the phone prior to the factory reset and it worked fine (post upgrade). Stock Music Player seems fine.
Also Nuance doesn't recognize anything. The Google Search voice app works just fine.
I'm just checking on the other things.
But at least the FM works!

Yeah, Nuance was reported as broken. I might be able to take a look at it if I ever get the phone back from my girlfriend.

Hey, I DISLIKE V2.3.3 becasue after I updated my cel, its likely a garbage now. It is not functionable at all as a normal celphone. Blackscreen and automatic shutdown and needs to unplug the battery to restart the phone often.

Is it worth to update it to V 2.3.3?

If you guys know how to fix the black screen problem, please let me know !!

Thanks
