It's one analyst saying this. Googling this brings up lots of speculation in the days after Google's announcement of the intent to purchase Motorola, but nothing more recent. Besides, the sale isn't even final yet. I'll pay more attention when several start saying as much.

The LG Optimus 2X is getting ICS... confirmed. That's a Tegra 2 device (just like the MoPho).

Hahaha...me and you both, edlex. At the rate the Moto has been surprisingly supportive of the MoPho (especially because it's not getting the headlines of the Droid Bionic or Droid Razr).

I was rebooting my EVO one day and it just completely broke. Went into something called "Qualcomm diagnostic mode" and apparently there is no way to get it out and of course my warranty was up so I had to buy a new phone off contract! The Photon is clearly the best phone on Sprint right now so I took a gamble on Moto and I couldn't be happier. Love this phone! I wish I could get CM7/9 on it though!

That's too bad to hear about your EVO. My EVO went to a secondary line. The MoPho has received A LOT more support than I was anticipating and seriously thought I would notice the similar type of lag that I started to notice 3 months after owning the EVO, but still runs so smooth.

BTW, I highly recommend the docks for the MoPho. Motorola thinks about functionality SO much better than HTC does. The Motorola specific accessories may not "look" as nice as the HTC accessories, but they cost less and work 10X's better for usage.

Yeah Tegra is a great platform, it's fast as hell and the graphics are amazing. It's a shame to see Moto now moving to TI OMAP for everything just to get 1080p video recording. I've had some major problems with lag on my Photon but it's probably all the crap I've installed and something is messing with it . I've been on XDA and ACS waiting to see CM. Now that the Atrix has it, I'm hoping we get the blessing too!

I'd say try 3rd party launcher. LPP has been super smooth for me, and I'm not even rooted.

It's definitely not the launcher, I think it's an app that I have installed that is messing with it. Everything is perfect when I hard reset it

Anything can really happen, but I'm doubting the latest rumor, especially because Motorola will still be acting separately from Google as a whole. Motorola will just be an entity under the Google umbrella.

The rear camera is definitely better for the most part, front camera is WAY worse (VGA vs 1.3MP). I found the EVO camera to be just awful for stills and horrible for video (sound was unbelievably bad and quality was pretty bad). The Photon is a bit better an the sound doesn't suck as much .
