So, here's the deal. I had the most recent JF running on my dev phone. Today I noted a little "you have an update" dialog box, clicked it. It booted me to the maintenance menu, like a dumbass I hit reset to factory settings. Ok, I lost all my apps, but that's not the problem, we'll get to that.

So, it boots up, presumable on version 1.0, and says "Gee you have an update". Ok, it downloads version 1.5. I'm a lil annoyed at losing my apps, but pleased to have 1.5. However...

So, I can't get it to connecto to my Wireless access point (using WPA2). No idea why, it just won't, connects fine to a neighbor's open wireless, yes checked the password.. many many times.

Also, Gmail, Market, and Data Sync setting won't open. I hit them, they open for a second, then close. Could this be happenign because I did have my G1 registered with my Gmail account before, then factory reset it? Is there a way to like, reset the account on the other side or something?

So here I sit, double annoyed at my stupid stupid STUPID mistake :/

So you did or didn't have your Gmail account registered? Have you tried wiping it...whether or not your Gmail account was registered before, when you wipe you have to register again anyway.

I was under the impression you couldn't receive OTA update after rooting, I'm sure some of the other guys will pipe in and help ya out...

See that's what I thought too, I was rather suprised to see the OTA update anyway. Especially since my carrier is AT&T ;)

And yes, before I had registered it, and I re-registered it after my stupid factory reset. Just that now, it should be a pristine install, yet tsome key parts aren't working, and I'm wondering if somehow I need to reset some data on teh Google side of things, or something.

Also, figured out my wireless connection problem, seems the password was too long, or something. Changed it to another one and works fine. Also of interest, when I open the Gmail app on my phone, it flashes "Waiting to sync" for about a half a second at the top before it goes back to my home screen.
