Root Help Choosing A Rom

Okay so I installed MikG 2.59, and so far I like it...but I was wondering if there was a rom that was simple 100% stock but with the wireless tether enabled?

I loved my stock phone, but simply wanted to tether without paying

Also, When I flashed my phone, I lost all my contacts so I think I missed a step

if at this point all you want is wireless tether, you can flash this stock, rooted rom found HERE and download the wireless tether from the market, found HERE... i'm actually running this rom right now... it is quite smooth, good battery...

EDIT - make sure you sync your contacts with google... then you'll always have them...

Is there anything special that I have to do to install a different rom?

Do I just open the sd card on my computer and deleted the old rom file and replace it and reflash?

Also yeah I thought I had synced with google...but I failed haha Live and learn I suppose

make a nandroid, just in case, and then just place the new rom on your card, do a full wipe, and flash... that's it.. and, yes, you can delete the other rom from your card... get that space back...

You can also export contacts to your SD card. Thats what I do

Okay, Ran into a problem. When I went to install the wireless tether rom the market says:

"This app is incompatible with your Sprint HTC PC36100"

Stock? Blah. Mikg is awesome. If you want to go aosp, miui is quite nice and deck's 1.3d aosp build is quite nice as well.

With that said tommytomatoe's modified stock is pretty good.
