I've only read about the MyVerizon app and the BackupAssistant app. Are there any others? If not then I don't see these 2 as being that big of a deal. I am a little surprised that they won't have their 3G hotspot app on there though.
Yup! We'll see which carriers/devices disable this feature. I don't think it'll be disabled in the Galaxy Nexus but I see it being disabled in future ICS Verizon phones.
big deal two apps OMG it's going to ruin the phone. Those two apps will do nothing to performance or anything like that. People make such a big deal out of nothing. The sprint nexus s has a few sprint apps on it too.

Good point. I do agree that two apps aren't going to ruin the phone per say. I think we're all here just discussing the options we have if any apps are installed that aren't welcome by each individual user.
Well to be fair the backup assistant gets in the way quite a bit if you want everything going through google. I've had this conversation more than I want:
"Thought you gave me your number.. hang on"
"oh sry it was in my other contact list"
So what does this mean for wi-fi hotspot? If they aren't going to put it on the phone is there one we will be able to download from the market?
wonder if that means a policy change for big red if they can't get $20 a month extra for wireless tethering.
