I was thinking it would be a good idea to start a forum about battery life. I was thinking people could post there estimated percentage per hour and tell how the keep it so low or find out how to keep it low. So post like this.
Root: (yes/no)
Custom ROM: (yes/no)
[If yes to those two which method did you use to root your phone and what ROM you are using]
Kernal:
Scripts:
And then any other additional information such as apps and etc.

Here's mine.

Root: Yes (shabby-oneclick)
ROM: Yes (shabbymod)
Theme: simple green 4.2
Kernal: kourmakernal
Script: None
Estimated percentage: 1.8 per hour on standby

Thanks in advance for post and helping others with battery life

Root: Yes (Odin)
ROM: Yes (CM7 Hroark Beta 1a)
Theme: Ultra Blue
Kernal: (Whatever came with CM7 port)
Script: RAM Optimization Script, 3g Turbocharger
Estimated percentage: 0.6 percent/hr on standby

As I said in my prior post about Droidwall, I have it set do block all Data while I am not using the phone and this has greatly improved my standby life.

I made a prior post about Droidwall here.

Root: Yes (Odin)
ROM: Yes (CM7 Hroark)
Theme: system
Kernal: Whatever comes with the CM7 port
Script: None
Estimated percentage: 0.5 percent/hr maybe? I fully charge my phone before bedtime, after my 8 hours of sleep the phone never goes under 95%

I use Juice Defender Ultimate in the Aggresive mode. This beautiful app is a must have! It makes your phone pretty much lose no battery at all while in standby by stopping all data.

Now when it blocks ALL data does that mean no calls or texts?

Everything except WiFi tether, i keep it turned on until I need to ue data for anything else.
I started using DroidWall too, just to give it a try. I leave every app that needs data whitelisted... Market, Browser, Tether, Email, Google+, gTabSiMiClock (for weather updates), Jefit, Maps, and SoundHound. If I change this, then I am forced to disable droidwall everytime I want to browse, check email, find out what song I'm listening to... Seems inconvenient to me. I have to say JD is better if you get the ultimate version. It works as DroidWall, only better. You can configure how to treat apps the following way:

enable: enable data only when app is being used and visible
enable/screenoff: enables data even when in standby, good for streaming
disable: no data access at all. ever.

This works better for me than having to enable/disable DroidWall everytime I want to browse the internet, check email etc. I think the Ultimate is very much worth the 5 bucks! Configure the thing once and then forget about touching it ever again.

Gonna have to agree to disagree. Hitting a widget that takes 1 second to enable/disable is much easier for me than waiting for JD to do it automatically considering it took a few seconds to actually get data back after starting the configured app/etc. I used JD ultimate for quite a while and I much prefer DW with the widget. Not yo mention having DW set to disable everything BUT tether increases my tether speed by 200%.
