"Could have. It wouldn't be super surprising either. Everything I'm seeing, even as of today, shows that promos for the device are really not starting until after Thanksgiving weekend. So there is a chance it could be web-only for a week, and then they get them in stores after Black Friday."

I CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE OF THIS!!!!!!

Verizon seems to keep on delaying it? By the time it comes out it won't be ICS exclusive anymore haha;)

I am not shocked by this. Disappointed, yes. Anyways, I see why they would do this. I strongly believe if it is in store, and people play with it, most people will choose the SGN over the RAZR and vigor. Mostly because of ICS and possibly the screen. Verizon knows this and knows what makes them more money. I still have a hard time believing this leak though! Either way, it doesn't bother me. I just want it and know I will be showing it to everyone I can to boost sales. Better sales means a better chance of more nexus devices on Verizon and more accessories!

I'm the (experimental) mainstream example you speak of. That's why waaaay back I started a thread on whether the "Prime" would be wasted on me, as I have never modded a phone. From what I've seen of ICS it looks like fun in stock form. Perhaps, with help from this community, I'll eventually explore modding.

So this geek wannabe is making the move to Nexus. But I have to admit I am a little worried about battery life. Not to turn this into a discussion about the battery...pretend I didn't say that.

I am with you, partially. I started rooting and modding this summer and then learned of the Nexus and wondered where I would fit in on the scale of mainstream/techie

Its nothing to shake a stick at. I recently replaced a 9200 mAh battery in a device with a 9400 mAh unit I assembled from two 4700mAh cells.
The The 9400 mAh got and average of 15 hours more usage than the 9200mAh.

100 more in a cell of that size is a welcomed increase that should mark a noticeable increase to those whom can compare.

As fare as size, They are limited but can tweak with the shape to get what they want. Its basically wrapped foil. A short thicker one can be the same as a long thinner cell.

First - i will semi behave and say that I had so many comments about how you phrased the wrapped foil statement, I will not type them though

Second - i know who I'm coming to with battery issues.

Good morning everyone....
ot: Time for some Jets football!

Yay. Another jets fan!

Nexus is the red headed step child of the android line on Verizon.

If only they realized that by making it the red headed step child it only makes us want it more but want to deal with them less. :(

I put my phone down for a couple hours and come back to find euphoria and depression. Glad to see we are back to normal.

Plus they will probably have some special sale for black friday on the razr and rezound so by making it web only and then having it in store the next week they would get some to buy the razr/rezound and make verizon more money with all the bloat verizon sticks on those phones.

Can't be delayed if no official launch was ever announced:p

To me, it's delayed if they already have the merchandise on hand and ready for distribution and sale, and are only looking to try and get as many RAZR's out before HAVING to put a phone they dont have their bloat-ware and Verizon branding all over.

IF Samsung has the verizon phones ready, and its not like they will change the hardware last minute, then VZW needs to sell the damn phones already!

How do you know verizon has them yet? Supposedly there is still some last minute changes being made( battery, etc) Maybe verizon doesn't have them yet which is why no launch.

Call it a hunch, but I think we already have the phones sitting in warehouses here in the states just collecting dust while VZN is figuring how to maximize sales of the Razr and Rezound

It didn't say web only forever, calm down. Could be for a week and then when it is available at verizon in store it would be available to costco too. Just like the Exclusive thing that everyone cried about because how can verizon be the only one to get it. smh at people not comprehending:rolleyes:

lol I am calm and it has nothing to do with comprehension. This just seems too over the top, even for Verizon. Web only pre-orders I can believe, but a web only device at launch just doesn't fit. Have they ever even done that on a top tier device?

Im not sure if they ever did it. I mean they also never did preorders earlier than a week in advance yet they took preorders for the razr the 27th with a nov 11 launch, and launched the rezound on the 14th which goes away from their thursday launch schedule. They said they are releasing another phone a week for the rest of the year so maybe that is why they are doing what they do.

Or doing it to build more hype to sell more? Maybe push it back so they can get more stock so everyone who wants one can get one? Don't want another inc fiasco.

it actually makes sense for them to do it this way. I mean clearly verizon wants to push the razr and rezound and what better way to do that then make the nexus a web only thing until after black friday when they have sales on the razr and rezound to get people locked into contracts.

This is logical. And very Verizon-like. :(

Again, very logical.

This blows.

In my experience, higher demand by limited stock creates more buzz for a product than anything. That's why we see every holiday season the most sought after items are limited in stock. Not because the manufacturer didn't see the hype, but because they knew there'd be more buzz if people had a hard time getting it.

In no way do i want to be negative about things but THIS picture, seen it a couple of times now, really gets to me.

The one phone with the largest screen appears to have the smallest screen! Who knows, maybe the fruit company made this?
