Alright, I followed the battery saving thread, and it didn't help. I have had the bionic for about 3 weeks now, and my standard battery will usually last me from 9AM-10 or 11PM. The past week, I have noticed my battery life slowly getting worse and worse each day. Well today, I took my phone off the charger at 11:30 AM, by 1 PM it was at 65%, by 3:30 it was at 5%. No internet EXCEPT using facebook OCCASIONALLY and I have set to refresh ever 2 hours and my weather app is set for every hour. I was texting the whole time though. But I went about 30 minutes at one point without touching it and I noticed that my phone drained about 15%. Well I was annoyed, so I went to verizon complained, the lady said that is normal cause its 4g, ummm no that isn't normal. I got a second battery and battery dock, charged the battery and it doesn't drain like the other battery does. What should I do??? I have a shitty battery lol

Same problem here... I have the extended battery, I take it off the charger at 6AM, go to work, use the phone occasionally throughout the day, and normally its between 30 and 50 percent at 6PM. Today though, with completely normal use (Seriously, I'm working, i take a break every now and then to check email, facebook, whatever on my phone). The battery was at 10 percent at 1PM. 10 Frickin percent. This is completely ridiculous. And, the only way I have to charge it here is to plug into the usb port on my desktop, and after 3 hours of "charging", circle battery widget shows the charge has DROPPED from 10 percent to 7 percent. WTF?!?!?? I think I'm going to the Verizon store tonight.

amageus: That's what I originally tried to do when I went to verizon today. I told her that my battery had drained over 40% in two hours on VERY little usage. Like i said her reasoning "its a 4g phone so it drains fast sometimes, you probably had a bad signal"
Me: "no I had 4 bars all day"
Her: "Well that kind of battery life is normal for a 4g phone, it may be FB refreshing to often"
Me: "My FB refreshes every 2 hours, not very often at all"

And that was the end of her excuses and she was basically dancing around the possibility that my battery was bad, and I needed a new one. I bought the new battery and after comparing it for about 5 hours, its obvious it is significantly better than my original battery life. Def my battery.

Now thay you know its the battery, you should go back and ask for a refund for the battery you bought. At least that's what I would do.

I would definitely do as xmr405o susgested. You ruled out that it was your phone and the battery that was bad. You're still under warranty and I don't know why she had you buy the 2nd battery if she ruled it a bad battery herself.

Are you checking to see what apps are using the battery life? That's the first place I would check. Possibly some rogue app autostarting and draining your battery. Something changed thats causing your battery to drain. Unless your battery started to die which is abnormal.

Cell standby 39%
Phone idle 37%
Android OS 9%
Voice calls 8%
Display 7%

.... I don't get it.

Are you on extended or standard battery? I'm on extended battery. I haven't even touched my standard >.>...

I'm on my extended battery... Unfortunately I sold my 2 standard batteries on ebay

Maybe they are just bad batteries and are not being drained by anything ...

... Thom

Maybe... But it seems unlikely that the battery would function perfectly for 2 months until yesterday
