The video player has to be written to take advantage of ICS's "full screen" mode. If he isn't using the default player I doubt any player on the market uses ICS yet.

AMOLED is supposed to do "dark" more efficiently then LCD. Though ICS looks like it has a lot more whites and such so that won't help much.

The short time I had an Incredible the screen was never the highest battery killer, but it usually is with my DX. I keep my DX's screen at like 10% and don't use it much during the day (thanks to Chrome's Gmail and GVoice plugins) so I am definitely encouraged by this. As long as my battery life is close to my X I'll be satisfied.

Now I just need to think of a way for the wife to let me get the Transformer Prime. I like my Xoom, but it sucks as a media player and even the browser gets laggy, stupid Tegra2. I was hoping for a higher res display for my next tablet though (or color eInk ;) ).

So P3Droid tweeted a pic of him playing a video yesterday (I posted it earlier)

Then someone asked: "thought the soft keys were supposed to disappear?"

P3Droid's Response: "They do but space remains"

But we've seen reviews where the extra space was utilized! What's going on!!

This was my main concern. There was a review of the gnex i think where the reviewer mentions the buttons disappearing. When you see whats going on, the icons disappear and left black. Which is mind-boggling to me. I'm hoping that either someone manages to allow a swiping left to right motion to utilize full-screen always or manages to use 4.6"of the screen where the icons turn into dots and you just tap the dots to recall the buttons.

Someone will do it. I"m sure of it.

It seems only video's and picture utilize the fullscreen. Look at p3d's picture of his movie. He has the buttons and the status bar still showing. Hope that is just a mode.

I will be adding a line. I thought about paying retail, but with my loyalty discount, and a dumbphone already lying around, its cheaper to do it by adding a line for me.

That's what I did to get the Droid 3. So right now I have 3 lines, mine, wifes and one that sits in a drawer. I guess adding a line is still a possibility. I plan on selling my D3 and my ipad 2 to get the Nexus and a Xoom 2.

My upgrade has been sitting since June or July - I can't even remember anymore.

Has anyone that has preordered a phone before ever changed the name on the account? My dad is the primary line on the account, but I have a fear that if I ship it to my office with my dad's name they won't be able to find me. I wonder if a CSR rep can change this or maybe my dad can call in and authorize the change for that order. Anyone with experience on this?

Your dad can call and have you added as an "account owner". That way you'll have your name on it, and they should be able to ship it to your name.

If your dad is uncomfortable leaving it that way, he can always switch it back once you get it.

I'm on my parents' account as a 'manager' which gives me access to everything as well.

Online, my experience has been that you can either choose the billing address for shipping or an alternate, at which time you can choose home or business and to whose attention. Doesn't need to be delivered to your dad's name.

Same boat as me, this will be my 4th line, as I got my wife a D3 this way too.

I wouldn't trust that. After 6 years, they can't even get my last name changed correctly from when I got married.

Dumbphone - env3 work for that? or do we have to go dumber?

should, just needs to be a phone they don't require a data plan for.

as a matter of fact, it doesn't even need to work, as the CSR rep didn't make me activate it, he just put the phone on the line and I was done. (you do need to originally activate the line with the new phone first, then transfer the dumbphone)

I have a 24 in widescreen - half of it is never covered with anything but this site.

I have two 24 inch monitors. So....HAH!

In all seriousness, one of my monitors never has anything but this site up, unless I am coding for class (that is the only time I use both monitors simultaneosly).

Also, The_Chief, where is the data for the chart? I have been waiting? :( :p
