***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I seriously need some help. I'm checking this thread every 15 minutes or so. When I see posts on here that are non-Android, it's like they're coming from another planet. I'm afraid I've slipped into the Nexus-Zone. It's something like the Twilight Zone, except more unpredictable. It's a serious distraction! I'm afraid the only thing that will cure me is an order confirmation from Verizon.

Every 15 minutes? Slacker. ;)

Luckily for me, I have 3 lines I can upgrade on. My line and my wives are eligible now.

"WIVES"? Geez, I can't hardly afford ONE! Good on ya, man :D

Get 'em all Nexi and they'll be happy - for awhile...

EDIT: BTW this family thing is dragging me away from the thread! but I DID see LT's info about the 17th. I'm still going with 6 days to go!

Just wanted to let everyone know he put a description along with that picture which says "This is with lots of surfing and screen brightness at max"

Looks like battery life won't be an issue on this phone folks. Can't Wait!!!:)

Edit: judging by the pic looks like the surfing was on 4g. Makes it all the better

... and judging by the pic he's got 45% battery left after using it for 5+ hours on battery unless I'm reading it wrong. Really nice battery life if that's the case.

What the heck???

Has THIS been covered already?

Steve Jobs Was Right: Adobe Halts Flash For Mobile Devices | Fox News

Oh, no... this does not bode well... how will this affect us in the months to come?

I don't think it will be a big deal. HTML5 is being used more and more these days, and I think that they are less battery-draining than Flash, if I understand it correctly.

Yeah, and on top of that, it won't have any affect on us for a while. Adobe's still gonna maintain and support Flash Player 11 for Android, so really we won't notice anything until not only the release of Flash Player 12, but the mass adoption of Flash Player 12 (which I don't see happening for at least a year).

Key quote: "Some of our source code licensees may opt to continue working on and releasing their own implementations..."

All was never equal among the various handset manufacturers, as comparing flash in the mobile browser can quickly show. Compare, for example, a Motorola Android unit's in-browser flash video performance to one of HTC's.

Can't stand the dismissal of the camera like that, and I am pretty sure as a whole it WILL be the best Android handset when it comes out, and stay that way for 3-4 months at least. But very educational article, thanks!

Oh and I skipped the conclusion... What a load of crap... if you want the best hardware, wait 4 months. And their article about a phone in 4 months (I predict).... if you want the best hardware, wait 4 months.
