Love it!
May I ask, at the bottom where you have the 2 icons, one for The Market and the other for the phone - is this called a dock? Also, what do you use to alter the amount of icons, look etc. on the dock (or whatever it is called).

I also am using Go Launcher EX (not sure if U need to know that or not) :)

This is ADW Launcher EX, and there is an Options in Settings for the dock - 1, 3 or 5 icons and also whether you want a dock to show or not. I am not showing the dock here. That right icon is actually my internet icon, I just like the look of it :D.

Some really great ideas in here. Thanks everyone.

I am thinking a lot of these examples require root? yes?

I have a Samsung Infuse 4g and use Go launcher. I like the Go lcoker 4 key theme. I would love to here some ideas for other lockers/widgets/themes.

I DO NOT PAY FOR APPS OR THEMES or anything else..I dont need to be THAT cool.

I'd say it's about 50/50 on how many of these are on rooted phones

Honestly... why are you here, then?

Granted, there are a lot of things that you can do using free apps. For instance, the launcher replacement apps that we use offer free versions:

GO Launcher EX

You do get more features with the paid versions of these apps (at least with LauncherPro and ADW Launcher), but the free ones are more than enough for the beginner to do some cool stuff.

Here are more suggestions for wonderful free apps to customize your homescreens:

This is only scratching the surface. Mostly, if you're serious about improving the look of your interface, you really need to spend some time going through these threads and asking questions. Send personal messages direct to members asking about their setups and how they did it. You would be amazed at how much you can do with free apps and without rooting.

Finally, this is a great resource for finding new and popular apps (and you can view just free ones):

AppBrain App Market

In the future, you will probably change your mind about paying for apps when you find out how useful they are. I have plenty of apps that offer free versions and I use the paid or "donate" versions. It's good to support developers. This way they will keep making awesome apps for us to use.

Hope this helps!

Finally took some time to work with Chronotopia and made a clock. Simple but I was just trying to figure out what the process is.
