Haha, so like I said, when the VZW guy said I needed to go hold it in response to my question at the Q&A, he was essentially telling me to go find out this^^. :p

Even without streaming the phone in my store was uncomfortably warm. Whatchya wanna bet that one of the default behaviors of this phone includes ramping up the cpu to full speed when it's plugged in, which the demo units always are, at least in my store. Makes for snappier demos...

Guys, I'm having a strange feeling about maybe settling for the RAZR. Anyone else feel the same?

Not saying that I'm going to do it. I'm not. It's just a very strange, strange feeling.

I've been wavering quite a bit. And its nice dock isn't helping matters. I enjoyed my time with it in the store last Saturday.

Not I, you need to stay strong and think of all the things you'll get by waiting just a little bit longer. Better screen in every way, NFC, ICS, removable battery, unlocked bootloader and NO BLOATWARE!! As far as I'm concerned it'll be worth the wait.

Not me. Seems like another cheap (yea i said it) Moto phone. Played with it for about 10min and thought it was nothing more then a gimmick.

I feel that way about the Rezound. Super crisp display and a pair of (gimicky, granted) headphones that are probably an upgrade from the el cheapo's I currently use and are tailored to bassy music? Last but not least, an actual real release date? Yea. Hard to turn down.

Don't do it -
heed these words (paraphrased to fit our phone situation) from Maureen Dowd:

The minute you settle for less than you planned, you get even less than you settled for

Nope not me.. Remember good things come to those who wait!!

You know as soon as you go buy one the Nexus will be announced and you know it will be outside the 14 day return window.

Was excited for that phone until I saw the 1620mAh battery. Even though I always buy an extended battery for my phones, I dno't typically do it because I have to. With the Rezound, I would have to. Doubt that 1620 would make it through a day of even moderate usage.

Nope! I'd switch to AT&T and get the SGS2 first. The OG Droid was the first and last Moto Android phone for me until they start shipping phones with unencrypted bootloaders.

As far as HTC goes, I think their last impressive phone was the first Incredible.

Galaxy Nexus on VZW or I'll switch.

Was thinking that the other day and was having a huge debate about it with my girlfriend. She wanted me to get the RAZR because she hates that I have this little dumb flip phone because I hate texting with it and so she kinda gets the short end of the stick sometimes in our conversations. I was so close to caving in a buying it but then I saw the app drawer on the RAZR and how filled it was with a bunch of CRAP. For instance, they STILL have the freaking Blockbuster app?! I don't even know any blockbusters are me still in business!

No bloatware for me + pure Android ICS goodness. It is worth the wait my friend.

it's no secret i've been on the fence between these two devices. i don't think getting the RAZR would be considered "settling". they are both outstanding devices, and both have pros and cons - it will come down to what each individual buyer deems to be more important for their particular uses, and which phone matches those preferences better.

i've said it before: with the speed and power of these devices, the NEED to root and rom and overclock has severely diminished (it would still be FUN/NICE to do, but it's probably not needed). thus, for me, call quality, build quality, and battery life are taking on increased importance (especially battery life, now that we are getting HD screens and LTE radios). right now, my perception is that the RAZR probably wins in call and build quality (based on history), but the GNex wins in battery life. so, still a toss up; and i'm gonna have to test each one before deciding what to buy.

I keep chargers strewn about (car, bedroom, kitchen and office) so battery usage is not that big of a deal for me. If I ever was in a position that I knew I was going to need extra juice (like a long flight), I would buy a battery powered USB charger.

Galaxy Nexus or hold onto my DInc until something comes out in Q1 of 2012. Not that I see ANYTHING in my way for the Nexus but I agree with you - won't do Moto.

RAZR allows you to hide and/or uninstall some/many of the bloatware apps, including Blockbuster:

I think whoever gets weak will be here sulking when the first Google OS updates or fixes are released. It is very hard to resist not having something new knowing it is right there. But i have waited a long time as a Verizon customer for a pure Google device, not going to give that up now. Especially when it will hopefully show Verizon they made the right move.
