Everyone is a little bit on the edge. While I appreciate you lightening the mood, the mods have indicated they won't stand for shenanigans. Don't be surprised to see a few posts disappear.

As long as they leave off Bar, oh wait...it looks like "Klondike" is a registered trademark? Admittedly I know as much about trademarks as I do about the ballet.

All of the big names we know with a 'k' are trademarked and/or registered. Which is why I had said Key Lime Pie. The key lime would have a hard time being registered or trademarked.

Morning all, about the cases...do we know any more about them? Was this one store or have several stores received them? Has anyone actually seen the cases in a VZW store? I'd feel a lot better about this leak if there were reports of multiple stores receiving them and possibly an actual siting.

I hope we get some unbiased reviews of RAZR from users over the weekend. I'm interested in CK's take. He seems very knowledgeable about mobile devices and tech. But when you spend $$$ on a device you really WANT to like it and sometimes you see things through rose colored glasses.

I haven't ruled RAZR out. If glowing user reviews start pouring in, I might have to go check the thing out. However, I'm also leaning towards buying the GNex sight unseen if shows up next week. It's nice to have options for a change.

On a related note, for those who are going to visit VZW stores today I'd be interested to know what kind of turnout they're getting for RAZR release day.

Edit: I don't want to devalue the reviews of the rest of you purchasing or checking out RAZR. Especially you HuskerKate. I know you're giving it the once over as well. I'm looking forward to your thoughts too.

so far, everyone in that thread has been giving pretty glowing reviews of the RAZR. they haven't noticed any real heat issues (like Steven58 observed), and suspect those heat issues may have to do with the fact that demo units in the stores are constantly connected to a charger. not sure, but it might make some sense. (again, i don't in any way doubt what Steven observed, but just trying to find an explanation...) i'm not completely sold, but still rather intrigued by the RAZR.

To each thier own. I don't think I'd own another HTC device until they make some serious improvements in overall hardware.

IMHO, Motorola hands down makes the best phones for what suits me. If they'd only stop locking (encrypting) thier bootloaders and improve thier cameras a bit, they'd be by far my manufacturer of choice.

Definitely agree. Motorola + Nexus would be a match made in heaven. A phone that can last until your next upgrade and receiving updates the whole time.

True. But the first thing I did when I saw that picture was stop reading further and scramble to pre-order it at VZ. What if there had been a baby in my lap?

Somewhat agreed. It pissed me off, but some around here are hypersensitive. Posting CSR chats on here and getting reactions that should be reserved for child killers or suicide bombers was a little annoying, I must admit.

No, it's not "clearly", it's hidden by the show tags.

Your intent was to stir things up, and you got that evidenced by the twenty posts in a few minutes on the matter. I'm not judging, I understand a little practical joke now and then. But when the parents (mods) tell us to knock off the jokes, we shouldn't be surprised if they make us sit out in the corner for a bit.

The screen on my daughter's Ally cracked the other day. Since she has the choice of shelling out her hard-earned (like minimum wage) money for a replacement or taking over my Incredible, we now have another person rooting for an 11/17 release.


This is like some cosmic pressure cooker, ready to blow.

Yup! My min wage son, who has a feature phone, is eying my Incredible. I swear he's been playing with it while I sleep! I should dust for his finger prints OR just look for drool marks.

Just for yucks, I will probably stop by the VZW store this evening to play with a Razr and put it through it's paces. I have absolutely no intention of getting one, but I would like to see what all the hype is about. Since there is a VZW store right next to where I'm going for dinner, what the heck?

My daughter keeps asking me when I'm getting a new phone. She's almost as excited for the GNex as I am, because she gets my DX.

Sad part is, she's only 6!

No, the phone won't be activated. Just for her to listen to music and play games.
