No shame in that, sista. I do hope you were wearing your best push up bra and low cut top as well.

Yes and no. Lol. At work so I usually have to choose between short skirt/high boots OR low cut top. I work with a bunch of guys that can't handle both on the same day. :D

I hate that I am at work and this only works for me on my home computer - doesn't even work for me on my phone. :(

Spit is only good at 80 and you're a grandma wiping off a lipstick kiss on your grandchildrens cheeks when they give you a saddened look. :p

Get some fine grit sandpaper man. A light scrub a dub dub to rid it of small black dirt dots.

hey....not all Grandmas spit....okay,.....yes we do.....

Stopped by VZW to play with the RAZR and I came away impressed. Very light and ridiculously thin, but it was tough to gauge the feel with it tethered to the counter. I even set off the security alarm trying to get a feel for it

The display was sharp with no sign of the pentile effect, the camera wasn't instant but faster than my Dinc. It took a lot of effort to smudge he screen wih my fingers. Nice phone, but the sealed back worries me because of the battery.

I spoke to my usual sales guy and he was aware of the Rezound and the Nexus and he and I are on he same page. With three phones coming out in a short time, it doesn't make sense to jump on the first one when they all have their advantages. It should pay to wait to handle all three before choosing.

He said to call on Nexus release day and he would put one aside for me for evening pickup. Very cool if it works out that way.

I saw 4 RAZRs lead the store in about 20 minutes, but it wasn't busy by any stretch.

Its all in VZWs court now.

When is that? :p

And can I call you ox

If you look at my profile I only followed the DINC thread and posted there only a couple of time. As with the GNEX I have been following closely and read sooooo many threads as so many others.

To the News

My brother-in-law's second cousin's dog walker's dental hygenist's landscapers mother's step son's uncle is sleeping with a verizon store regional manager's daughter to probe for information as what he found out is that........... no one other than the source knows squat about a relaease date.

What he did find out is that Verizon may never release the phone as they just follow forums like this to get their ideas and there have been too many flying around to land the plane. Not sure what size battery, what verizon apps they can get away with, how much to charge, when to release, etc. etc. etc.

What he did tell me is that I will have the phone very soon, but the definition of soon is dependant on perspective. If you are waiting to die we hope soon is many years off, if you are wiating for a new phone minutes seem to many.

Sorry but I could not help myself. Bored waiting like everyone else.

Anybody consider that Google would simply have to put the G-nex on their search engine page, have it link to an awesome spec sheet and list of amazing features to gain giant attention? I imagine if they did this, enough people would click it, and word of mouth would travel fast enough that a large amount of people would long for this phone.

I think google is completely content with using it as simply a developer's platform and not being an 'iphone killer' in itself.

Well, folks, with roughly 5 days to go (until the NEXT launch date  ) I think we can all sprint these last few days with no trouble. This has been a marathon wait, and we're potentially less than a week away from holding our precious and beloved Nexi in our moneyless hands...

No Motorola RAZR! No HTC ReHash! No temptation! Just say NO!

Our finish line is right there in sight now... hang on, beloved Droid....

Happy Veterans Day to all my fellow Veterans!!! Thank you for your service!

I am having trouble understanding your post. Feel free to explain what you are trying to say.

Dropping something is so random that those types of "tests" are pretty useless...

I work on mobile products, and happen to be a mechanical engineer. It is also part of my job to perform drop testing, without very controlled parameters those tests are useless i can agree on that one and its almost always true that if you drop something on its corners its going to break (high stress concentration on corners that's why everything is rounded and has smooth curves now a days). anyhow i didn't get to see that video its blocked at work but anyone that advertises drop tests usually drops the items on their flat sides because that's the only chance they have at passing. I could go on and on......lol

I know. But with metallic body, kevlar case, gorilla glass, etc that Moto raves about stellar build quality, I expected it to fare drops better.

Eh, maybe. I've seen phones dropped on concrete and do fine and other times dropped a few feet onto carpet and die.

It's all about how it lands and that's what we call a stochastic process (read: totally random). Enough force from that sudden stop, at just the right point, and a phone will break, somehow. Just physics - can't escape physical law, and that energy has to go somewhere.

As for bulletproof - only documented case was the Evo. The phone took a beating, but the owner survived. ;) :) (link to Lounge thread on this posted earlier)

Personally, I think these throw-em-and-drop-em YouTubes aren't very helpful, but that's just an opinion, everyone's mileage varies on that one.
