As I mentioned a million posts ago, a button is so much less intrusive than the screen yelling "GOOGLE"! at me.

I'm getting rid of that horrid thing as soon as I possibly can.

To each their own. With this screen having much more real estate than my OG Droid, I'll have to evaluate this when I get the phone. I like having the ability to quickly search but if it takes up too much room or intrudes on my ability to place other things on the home screen, then I'm like you, it'll be gone. I want my weather/date/time widget up top but it's possible to put that directly under the search bar and I'll be fine.

I think he is saying the normal user takes the phone out of the box and uses it pretty much as it is. Maybe a launcher on it or other little things but it's taken out and used without much thought as to what else could be done. The power user wants to be able to change anything and everything and either has the know how or the learning capacity to figure out how to. (or the reading skills to follow instructions on how to)

I wonder if there will legitimately be a discount after only ONE WEEK, like the RAZR. Didn't it release at $299, only to be sold for $199 now?

That's ridiculous. I mean, I'm certainly not scrounging for cash to buy this baby, but if waiting 1 week will save me $100.... that's what I'll try to do

Nope, the RAZR is still $299. Verizon won't give a discount after only one week. It's $229 on Amazon, but it started out as $250 so that was really only a $20 drop. Anyone who's looking to buy it should check out Amazon, though, they do sell phones for cheaper than Verizon.

I think your gonna be fine with a later release, but I'm just a little hurt that you would wish for the rest of us to be delayed just because YOU can't be available in the 17th. How selfish of you! lol

wow, 60 bucks for the dock! That is just CRAZY! I love the dock (used one on my OGD) for work, but at is a lot of cash for a simple stand.

I'm a late comer to this root/rom game but I love it! And my family now knows way more than they want to about phones.

$60 for a desktop dock.

I've never used one before, and I probably won't start.

I think I will wait until they prices drop and then buy one.

Hurray! $60 dollars to buy a dock that will do the same thing a $15 cable will.

I'm just thinking of MHL to HDMI adapters vs this dock for connecting the phone to the TV.

Call me cheap, but I use a wire hanger as a dock/mount at night. I just twisted it to my liking, lay my X on its side, plenty of room for the plug to plug in the bottom, and use a clock app, works the same!
