Well, each passing day gets us one day closer to the REAL Launch Day, when my Beloved Droid can finally go into semi-retirement

Okay. This is it. I'm giving it til Friday, no more. Now that the source code has been released, I've got to believe that the HTC devs will be one of the first to release a pure ICS rom for the HTC device, since it's the only other 720p display that will be able to present it as it was created.

If we have no word of a release date by this Friday, I'm going with HTC. I may even crack before then.

Thanks for everything you do/put up with in this forum and on the boards in general. Hopes and prayers that your daughter gets better quickly. I've always had troubles with respiratory illnesses (asthma and allergies tend to not be a good combo) and have had similar stuff to this happen to me, she should feel crappy for a couple of days but it's usually better than the bronchitis/pneumonia. If they released her, she should be right as rain shortly.

Huge story over the weekend about kids getting sick and sicker from too many antibiotics. Sorry your little missy is under the weather.

Why would they release the Rezound three days after the Razr unless the GNex is in the wings? Spacing of releases is a blown theory with those two bunched together so closely.

It seems to me that any release after Black Friday is destined for failure or at least wouldn't live up to its potential. I can't speak for others but post-Thanksgiving is NOT when I'm considering large purchases for myself (and I can be a selfish bastard when gadgetry is involved). I'm worried about affording Christmas gifts for my family. I would imagine the Holiday season might make people more introspective about buying big crap for themselves. "Instead of the new wonder phone, maybe I should buy mom something a little nicer."

Windbag hasn't mentioned any strange bugs in his review and he's .... um ... unpleasant. What would be so show-stopping but unnoticeable to delay the launch?

Verizon must understand the fervor over this little box. I think I'd feel better if they got off their corporate high horse and just passed along some information so we, their customers, could make informed decisions.

Final thought: we have all the information. Someone has reported the truth and we know it. It's almost impossible to squelch down the noise and find it but it's in this thread somewhere.

Sorry to hear she's not well. Same thing happened to me a year ago and it was awful. Take good care of her. She will be better quicker hand you think.
