Checked out the Razr... well, sort of
The verizon store by my house turns out was not what I thought it was. Just a bunch of dummy phones and some cheapo accessories
so I walked out of the joint in less then a minute. Guess I will hit up the real place later on.
I stepped into best buy and seen a dummy razr and asked if they had a real one that was live that I could check out. They did, but with like 4" of play on the cord and a demo that popped up at annoying times. First thoughts where this thing was blasted thin and light. So thin and light that I thought it may blow out of my hand in this strong wind whe have had in Denver these past few days.
The sales person said the phone was "Bad" I asked him, "Bad because the sucker is locked down?" No, bad being good
The phone did not strike me with awe. The sales person REALLY wanted a sale on this phone, but he did not listen to me. I made the comment that moto had burned my feathers due to the locked boot loader. I asked what the point of a open source software that is running on the device when you cannot even get into the device to do anything with said open source software.
All I got was "Yeah"
I tried to play with the camera, it seamed a bit slow, not instant but a bit faster then my DX. Then the stupid demo then a message about the sim card is needed for a feature (I forgot what) I clicked on.
I said I didnt know. For the 700$ price tag, I wanted to be able to get the most out of a phone (kind of hard to do so with Mr Encrypted Bootloader). The sales bot said I could get a bestbuy card. (He just was NOT GETTING IT) I was told the screen was the best. Um... I don't think so?
I walked away.
Man, I need some solid info on the galaxy nexus before I cave into the Moto Leaf---er Razr or a rezound. Which I was not able to locate.
