I just want something to get announced, not dropping my LG Voyager for a Droid has been killing me!!! My NE2 came up in October, and this has been SOOOO difficult to wait for. It hope it will be worth it in the end...:D

I've got that beat. I've had a Samsung Juke for going on 3 years. Despite the disprespect that little phone gets, it has been very good. Very small but useable keyboard and decent mp3 player. I had a Storm for a minute but took that back after three weeks. It just wasn't the phone for me.

What do you guys think about this? Verizon and Skype have something in the works. Ready, set, discuss!

Verizon & Skype Making Joint Announcement At MWC | Android Phone Fans

At the very least, I find this interesting that a US carrier is making an announcement at MWC. I know we discussed a few days ago that MWC would likely be limited to Euro or world phones and not much would be heard from Verizon until CTIA. Guess this means we can possibly expect some info regarding US phones, particularly from HTC's big press event. Three more days!

Not to fan the rumor flames but my coworker saw folder for the Incredible on our internal device testing site that's been there since December. Neither he or our other tester has seen it so I think it's still a little ways out from release. Not to say they couldn't do accelerated testing for it, but it's usually a month or two after they get the device to nut test that it's launched.

I'm waiting to upgrade my XV6800 to this phone so I'll keep my ear to the ground on it's progress and actual stats...

Ok - my NE2 has been up since last April. I began by looking at the Storm - then the Storm 2. After reading about how the OS on the Storm 2 is so out-dated - and all the problems that people were experiencing, I started looking at android. Ive been hanging on to this V9M razor for what seems like ever, waiting for a Snapdragon powered 3.7" android touch screen phone. I cant tell you guys how many times I almost caved in and went for a droid - especially after reading the "lost the passion to wait" thread. http://androidforums.com/htc-passion/43030-lost-passion-wait.html Needless to say long time lurker, and I cant wait to hear something officially announced. Wow - this has been somewhat theraputic - Thanks ! :D

Couldnt be any better news! It would be PERFECTION if we got some sort of date or time frame but at the very least I am praying for some sort of stat sheet on the Incredible. Having some real and official specs would be enough to hold me until when it actually comes out! Maybe. ;) Not to mention some new pictures for me to gawk at would be excellent.

I hope you all stick around on here when these phones start coming out! Would love to figure them out, bounce ideas, troubleshoot, and whatnot with you guys.

I'm with ya on that one, Cameron! Like many others here, I will be brand new to having an android device and I'll need the best support group I can get! "Androids Anonymous," anyone? :D

A guy named Brent @ everythingwm (i used to follow winblo) said he saw an incredible rom floating around. He works for verizon i guess. this was ~1-2 months ago. Hope this means we are getting close. it's starting to get real exciting.

Pardon my lack of enthusiasm but I've reached the point where only when an announcement much like this is made regarding the Nexus One and/or Incredible will I be the least bit excited. I'll be really excited when I finally click "submit" on the order page. Until then, this is all just passing time.

Here's a new article regarding the Incredible, it's pretty much a blatant hater article, but whatever....

HTC Incredible - smart but not incredible | IBTimes

The Apple sheep are such pathetic little children, oh how they do try though...

I was happy to see that all the things I was thinking as I was reading that article, are in the comments section. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but if you write for a company, unbiased reporting is the only way to earn true credibility.

Yeah, the article was much more like a forum or blog post (a bad one) not an article from a real news organization. Time for the editor to lay the smack down on this chump.

There's no way this thing comes out w/ a screen smaller than 3.7". And those iPhanboys don't have a clue about the hidden memory in HTC
phones. ;)

The article isn't so much hating as just saying its not a game changer or new. And its neither of those except being the first Sense UI phone with a snapdragon. Doesn't mean it wont be incredible. Hopefully it'll get a RAM bump.

Hey everyone! I came across your forum today at work when I did a simple Google search for the Incredible. I read all of the posts and just wanted to put in some input.

I have had my HTC Touch from Alltel for two years now and have loved it. I am not to fond of the Windows 6.1 update from 6.0 but that is a different story. Lucky me I am back to Verizon after the buyout. Weeks ago I finally became eligible for a phone upgrade and decided a few months ago I would go with the Eris...that was until I learned of the N1. So now I play the waiting game. Then, along with everyone else, a few days ago I learn of the HTC Incredible! Based on what I have researched and seen the I am leaning more towards the Incredible, but I need to get the full official specs before I make that call. The deal breaker for me might be which ever phone is available first. I plan on getting the same for me and my wife.

It will be interesting and exciting for what this coming week brings from MWC. Also, have you all noticed that Verizon is sponsoring some big ads during the Olympics? Perhaps we will see our first commercial for one of these devices revealed during this time!

I HATE YOU:D that site had an article with a leaked HTC Scorpion which will be 4g wimax and 1.5 ghz snapdragon. It might be a netbook and it wont come out for a while though so i guess ill have to opt for the incredible if it comes out.

Is it plausible that the prototype has 250 RAM for testing but the production will have at least double? Seriously, if the name is Incredible, HTC will not put hardware into the device that isn't at least on par with available phones.

1st post for me, it's been entertaining to lurk. If this phone gets released in the next few months, I'm buying it, give me the red back, I don't really care! I love that the camera has an upgrade and the video can be shot in HD. That makes my life so much easier for chasing around the kids with activities and capturing the moments with a bit more quality.

I'm just hoping for any release information to come out of HTC at the MWC. Last year, if i remember correctly, they didn't give out release dates on their winmo devices, only specs. I hope this isn't the case...If you think about the rapidly growing Android interest, I feel HTC and VZW would want to push out the Incredible as soon as possible, maybe even before the N1. As someone said earlier in the thread, VZW wants people to buy their phones in their stores...

Even though the N1 is going to use the VZW network, its being sold through google, so I can imagine VZW isn't getting paid what they want. They could potentially feel sour about the deal but only agreed to it because they know Android is the new big thing in mobile communications/computing...just my thoughts, I am not an expert or insider of any kind lol...just a semi-logical thinker.

I think it's funny how all of the iPhone fanboys are hating on Android because it isn't a game changer. Well, let me tell you something: If the Incredible ends up looking the the Bravo with 512 or ram, 1GHz processor, etc. I don't care if it doesn't mow my lawn or make me coffee, this will still be an awesome phone! It doesn't need to be a huge game changer. Heck! It has sense with Android 2.1. That's enough for me.

It will be a game changer a la the Verizon/Skype announcement. Then all the iphone fanboys can cry themselves a river. ;)
