Help HTC HD2 Android to Windows Mobile 6.5

Hello all experts,

I hope this finds you all in the best of your health.

Folks I am kind of desperate for your help so please help.

I need to flash the original stock windows mobile 6.5 on my HTC HD2.
I think..."I THINK" I have the steps....but I do not have the WINDOWS MOBILE 6.5 STOCK ORIGINAL ROM....

I am currently running NexusHD NAND Rom on my HTC HD2.Its a TMOUS US model aka LEO1024.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I guess it will really depend on which HD2 you have.

If you have a T-Mobile branded HD2 you can get the ROM file HERE off my DropBox.

If you have a different one, then let me know and I will link the ROM you need but regardless, the steps are the same.

Quick Steps:

1. Download the original Stock ROM/SPL for your appropriate HD2
2. Extract the .zip file the ROM comes in (if it comes in one)
3. Plug your phone in via USB
4. Sync it with Windows Device Center 6.1 and wait for it to finish
5. Double click the .exe file inside the folder we extracted earlier
6. Follow the prompts and wait for it to finish flashing
7. Once it is done, click ok, close the program, and reboot the phone. Done!

So my phone is on Android, how will it sync with Windows Device center?
Im a bit confused !

No, need WinMO for that. Once you are back on WinMo, you can sync with it.

Software detects a WinMo device, but confuses itself when it does not respond.

turn phone off and power on holding the volume button down, it will boot into the windows bootloader, then plug your usb cable, when you see the usb letters show in the bottom of the screen and hear the pc connect, you can use any RUU(windows mobile rom update utility) and flash the winmo rom.

you have to pull the battery out to reboot from the bootloader.

If you need the T-Mobile version then you can get it from their web site:

http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/

Just click on the link under the HD2 and enter in your IMEI number (which you should be able to find somewhere in the phone's settings. I think it is also on the phone itself, under the battery so you can pull the battery out and find it there).

For international users, you should be able to download the latest Windows Mobile from HTC's website. For example, UK users can get it here:

Hey! I have the same problem like kingakoopa.
I want windows phone 6.5 back for my HTC HD2.
Now I`m on MIUI. How do I can get back the windows? Can you please tell me the steps and a link, where I can download the windows. I`m from Latvia, and I don`t have T-Mobile branded phone!
