So i was sitting down playing with my phone and noticed that the 4G icon that i'm so used to seeing in my bar now said 4G LTE. i did a speed test immediately and sure enough i was seeing a huge increase in speeds. 5 minutes later it was back to 4G. i live in Oklahoma and have been told that we wouldn't be receiving LTE until mid 2012. could this be ATT testing the network?

I had just purchased the original SGSII a couple weeks ago, and with hearing of the Skyrocket being newly available, I stopped by the AT&T store last Monday. The AT&T rep there said they were "officially" rolling out 11/11/11 (today). I was surprised, as I hadn't heard anything official from the websites. I went ahead an returned my SGSII and got the Skyrocket. Since getting sporadic 4GLTE indication last night, I've got anywhere from 6-12 Mbps. Right now at home, I get a consistent 4GLTE indication with 8-9 Mbps. Very pleased - and pleasantly surprised with AT&T.

Lte went live or is in testing here in Vegas as well.. yesterday it was just suddenly on. Not nearly as fast as it is back home in Dallas...but an improvement for sure.

I am going to stop by AtT and see if they have the 4g sim. I am still using a 3g sim and it connects fine. We are wondering though if the 3g sim is what is causing random data connection loss for some

I'm using their new SIM I was given at the time of the purchase, and I'm still experiencing time outs and inconsistent speeds although I'm only in HSPA+ market. Don't remember having these issues with my iPhone 4 or Infuse. I think it has something to do with the new APN "pta"

Hey Patch, I am in Oklahoma City and bought my Skyrocket this past Sunday. When I was in the AT&T store, the employees told me that we were expected to get LTE by the end of this week. I wasn't sure whether or not to believe them, but nearly all of them had purchased the Skyrocket themselves, so I was hopeful. Then, I noticed the LTE indicator showed up on my phone around 8 pm last night, and I have had it consistently ever since. Hopefully the LTE is here to stay!

I've done some testing today, I'm seeing incredibly low latency, as low as 36ms !!! Due to only 16QAM on AT&T's HSPA+, I'm hitting the absolute ceiling of 14.4mbps.

I bought my Skyrocket today and was asking the agent when LTE was going to roll out here in Indy and he said the push was on for the Superbowl. For once we get something early that isn't some sort of fattening food or test product that most of America will never eat.

I thought you guys were on the list for the 20th?

Check...if that is the case it is most likely on now. I know Oklahoma and Vegas are already up

I think it might be, but I live on the far west side of one of the west suburbs of Indy. I saw this after I was talking to him and kind of meant that for once Indy is getting something early on and not having to wait but the push was because we are hosting the Superbowl. Otherwise we'd be one of the last.

Is there a list of theLTE rollout dates?im in the Orlando area and the salesman said they were supposed to throw the LTE switch in December. Of course I assume all salesman are lying and won't be disappointed if this does not turn out to be true. I get speedtest downloads pretty consistently of 3-5M on HSPA+ with occasional speeds over 9M.
