Thats not what the return policy on their site says.

"Purchases (excluding tablets and accessories) made between November 15 and December 28, 2011 may be returned or exchanged through January 9, 2012, subject to a $35 restock fee for wireless devices. All other provisions of Verizon Wireless’ Return & Exchange Policy continue to apply."

You were told wrong.

I'm mostly worried about this line. Thanks for the link and info, I will inquire more tomorrow in a chat with a csr.

Edit: I'm gonna try again. They mentioned an email that said "Future Acitvations" and mentioned 45 days. ANY VZW EMPLOYEES HERE?

I can't help but feel like I am in a room with two beautiful brunette virgins. There is promise of a even more beautiful blonde virgin about to show up any minute. But because she hasn't called ahead, I'm not really sure she's coming. I want to wait for the third, but the first two seem so attractive. I'm feeling weaker by the second...
Weird analogy I know, forgive me, but this whole thing is wierd. We are absolutely over obsessing over an over a piece of technology...

Welcome to the show...:)

Yes we are obsessing over technology.... but we know what we want :D

Does vzw consider purchase = activate? I think that might be the difference on the extended return policy.

Guys! Good news!

My sister texted and said she could tell me the date she has heard. She said that others in her office were seeing it online in several areas, so it’s not a secret.

She says:
The date mentioned in a meeting today is w/o 21. I know you wanted it this Friday, but better than nothing.

I texted back:
is w/o “web only” or “week of”?

She texted back:

week of. guess we like mondays now. :p

I thought we put that to bed.

Multiple sources seem to indicate that there were issues with the phone that had to get updates. Phone is in testing right now. P3 confirmed by indicating a recent OTA update, and his TBH counterpart has had some serious bugs that he hopes were fixed with the new update as well.

So as fun as it was to believe the RAZR conspiracy theory (don't release or it will kill RAZR sales), Verizon hasn't released the GNex because honestly it's not ready for thier network.

If that was the case with the RAZR, then they wouldn't have released the Rezound 3 days later.

Didn't we also hear from The Source that it was NOT a hardware or software problem but rather management/corporate reasons? If it was a software problem, it must have been really serious to warrant pushing out the phone and not just releasing an OTA. The one report was of exchange problems, so I guess if your theory is right, they felt it was serious enough to warrant delaying the release. We also have had Google and Samsung both say it was ready to go and was in Verizon's hands. I still like the explanation that someone gave (sorry, too lazy to go back and look to give the OP credit) that the SGN was set to release 11/3-ish, and was pushed and rather than trampling the RAZR release, they pushed it out a bit.

What did she mean by not being thrilled? I mean, sure it's not tomorrow but Monday is not far off. I'm quite thrilled!

I could not bill it to my account. I guess the phone is too new to allow that along with the fact its a month to month contract so...

Wait, so I can bill the phone to my account, then pay it off month-by-month or something? If you have the cash to pay your VZW bill, why not just pay with your debit/credit card?
