What case (if any) is everyone using on their Razr?

sure, I'll snap a pic later today.

Here is a pic of where i put the adhesive felt, it's actually just the soft side of adhesive velcro I had in a drawer. It takes up the extra space at the bottom of the mount so the phone doesn't seem loose.

thanks! I see you use the dock in portrait mode..

mine is in landscape (horizontal) so hopefully it will work the same...I've got some on that velcro hanging around also...gonna mess with it tomorrow.

thanks for the pics!

edit: velcro trick works perfect.. Thanks!

Not going to spoil the best looking phone with a design dud like otterbox.

The whole point of the phone being thin, well made and beatiful was to keep it like that and not cover it with those monstrosities from otter.
I look at it this way: a thin phone can take a thick case and be reasonable. A fat phone will become a total brick. Kind of like fat, pretty girls can lose weight, but fat, ugly girls are kind of stuck.

Just curious.... why use a case on a phone with kevlar back, gorilla glass front, spill resistant body, and a mounted stainless steel frame ?

Commando is the only way to go. I put that silicone case on it and it looks like an iphoey!

Here's my question... I don't know much about gorilla glass... do I even want/need a screen protector?

No. I had an Incredible and never had a screen protector on it. The screen was never scratched and I had it from the day it came out. All of this protection is ridiculous, it's just another way to spend money unnecessarily.

I put this case on the display razr at the store today. It was thinner and nicer than I expected, although at $30 also quite expensive. I can see the kickstand part eventually breaking, but it seemed pretty useful to be honest. I "may" get this case if I get the razr as at this point there is only the behmoth otterbox as the only other choice in the town I live.

Super simple fix, glad it worked for you! I find it easier to mount the phone while in portrait, if I use Nav it's easy to swivel into landscape.

So are some of you going commando with your Razr, or opting to throw a case on this bad boy?

I'm in the favor of using a case! I opted for the shiny black silicon case from Verizon. (like I always do...lol) Its ok, very slim and tight around the phone. So in that regard it adds hardly any bulk at all to the phone. I am a little disappointed though! In the past this type of case from vzw usually has sort of a slight pattern on it, which I kinda dig! This one is just smooth with nothing. Which in time will show a ton of scratches from going in and out of my pocket. Oh well, for now it does the job!

What's everyone else using?

But you can get away with it due to big hands- us average hand folks have hard enough time without adding more width to the device ;)

I use a belt looped black leather case. Geek approved :)

I did the same thing. I used the soft side of velcro under the bottom lip of the car dock. Worked like a charm

I found the same to be true with the nav dock and this case/holster..I love the case/holster but don't want to have to take the case off to drop in the dock, could you please post a pic of the nav dock with the felt so I can give that a try?

I prefer using a belt case and a nekked' Razr, since wide enough already and the Razr could turn "Rezound" on you, since bottling up heat more. A key for the Razr not going lava is the heat dissipation. All a case would do is pipe more heat through the display. Gets warm enough IMO with out covering it up.

My guess is the 112 degrees when running Flash, a heavy 3G game (Riptide is example) or hidef video content would jump to 115- somebody test? :)

Heat and its impact to electronics, batteries and materials is exponential (after a certain point) and not proportional. Three degrees may not seem a lot, but you never know. I may be understating the increase, but how about some tests? I could be wrong and no heat increase :)

Still wider, none the less.

I had a thin shell case that took two for the team...funny how this thing always lands corner first on asphalt.

I picked up an Otterbox Commuter today at Radio shack of all places--$26 and change on Black Friday sale. So far, loving it, but I'll have to see how it does for heat. For reference, the Razr with this case is as thick as a naked DX.

I just got my TPU case by Diztronic (via Amazon). It fits well, doesn't add much bulk. My problem is, doesn't add much grip either. Similar if not exactly the same feel as the stock Bionic back.

I am looking for a case that will maintain the "slimness" of the phone as much as possible, but provide substantial grip. I'm not very keen on the Kevlar back, always feels like I am going to drop it. Any suggestions?? I hear the VZW silicon case adds the most grip, but to the point where you can't really get it into your pocket. A little overkill, haha...
