How many of you are coming from the Incredible?

What phone are you replacing with a Galaxy Nexus?

Like many of you, last spring I was eager to get the Nexus One on Verizon, and went with the Incredible when it was announced to be on Verizon instead of the Nexus One.

Ive seen many people in this forum, including myself planning on getting the Galaxy Nexus to replace their Incredible, moreso than other devices, so I'm just curious what the results if this poll will be.

Both of those plus I'm sick of the memory issue bug. Constantly getting a message about the memory being full even though I have tons of free space.

That makes many of us - my Incredible is rock solid. I've dropped it dozens of times, and accidently kicked it hard into a wall. She's got a few scratches on the edges, but operates and looks perfectly.

PS - Battery life has been excellent since gingerbread (1.5+ days)

So, first post (I think)...been lurking here ever since that crazy Incredible pre-release thread. Still love the phone but between the random reboots and the stupid memory error, I'm ready for the Galaxy Nexus. Just curious though, does anybody else not have their upgrade until Dec. 28th? I pre-ordered the Incredible and actually got it a day early. I'm kind of scratching my head wondering why some are ready for an upgrade and I'm still waiting. Looks like I'm going to have to sweet talk a nice CSR to see if they can move my upgrade up.

I actually use the trackball on my Dinc all the time. I'm a little bummed to be losing it. But I'll trade it for LTE and a phone I don't have to root to make usable.

(The application space error and the fact that my browser would hang for minutes at a time before actually loading a webpage prompted me to root and ROM. CM7 worked fine for a while - until I suddenly couldn't make phone calls anymore. Been running OMGB since then and it's fine, but I don't want to have to deal with this in the future. No more HTC phones for me)

Probably out of /data/data room, there is a mod on xda that will move this partition eliminating this problem.

I currently have an incredible, but I originally bought an eris, so I am eligible for upgrade. The nexus is looking like the best new phone for Verizon. The rezound looks nice and a lot of Incredible owners are going that way. Personally I haven't used Sense since rooting my Eris a year and a half ago, and I've been spoiled by my Dinc's AMOLED screen. ICS, the nicer screen, and camera has me sold. I also like the usb port placement and other small things, but of course I will have to see it in person first.

Got my Incredible on launch day. It was my first smartphone, and at the time I didn't really understand the difference between vanilla android and these bastardized frankenandroid skins like NonSense and Bloatoblur. It took me awhile to find a custom vanilla rom that was stable, but with CM7.1, everything is working perfectly, and I love my Incredible :)

To be honest, I'm still quite happy with her and don't really want to upgrade quite yet, but I'm tired of having to play the custom rom game to get timely updates, and considering the Galaxy Nexus will probably be the only non-bloatware android phone to be released in the next year or so, I figure it's either now or have to go another year with the Incredible, and who knows if the next Nexus phone will come out on Verizon.
