Starting to look like a Monday announcement at the earliest. Maybe we can hope for a web only order?

Remember that Verizon released the statement confirming they would indeed carry the GNEX at 4:00 or 5:00 EST on Friday October 21, I think. The point is, that is was at the end of the day, on Friday.

Just a glimmer of hope, but it's something, right?

Verizon just announced due to the excitement for the Nexus Galaxy it will be releasing the new and futuristic Nexus Universe. It will sport the newest Google Software Wedding Cake. According to Verizon this new phone, as with the Nexus Galaxy, will be so futuristic you will hear all about it, but it will be cloaked so you may never actually see it.

According to Verizon it will be released SOON.

Decided I would chime in since all of us lurkers are being called to action....

Like so many others I was set for the Bionic, and was actually going to Colorado Elk hunting the week of release so decided I would wait (didn't want to trash a brand new phone in the mountains a couple days after I got it). I had already started reading about something better (Prime) and have been reading this thread since the begining.

My OG is on it's last legs, but I am holding out... My wife also thinks I am insane the way I follow this thread... I keep saying "It's coming out next week" and she just rolls her eyes.

Hi all! Seems like I've been coaxed out of the darkness to make my first post! Been using a blackberry 8530 for just under 2 years now and was looking to upgrade. I was hesitant to move away from a physical keyboard but after consulting many friends who have been without one for a while now I was planning on getting the bionic. I then discovered the GN (after a friend clued me in) and basically said "oh hell yeah I'm waiting for that!!" The battery on my BB is getting so bad that it hardly lasts 6 hours without a charge... so not only do I want the GN... I need it!! Cannot wait to get my first Android phone!

I'm not trying to urinate in anyone's cheerios, but we had people coming out of the woodwork last night claiming their local corporate VZW store had confirmed GNex in stock on Monday. Based on today's developments, that seems extremely unlikely.

I really hope that no one has been trolling for amusement or "thanks." It's bad enough that VZW is toying with our emotions by giving us the mushroom treatment (i.e., keeping us in the dark and feeding us crap), without being fed (potentially) false information.

In the event that anyone at VZW is browsing, please smack whichever suit thought it a good idea to keep the release date from us crazed GNex fans, and please please please give us a firm date so we can plan appropriately and calm the frak down.

My God this is driving me bats*** crazy. I'm losing sleep lately- put us out of our misery VZW!

Edit: And in the event the release date is up in the air due to whatever issue, give us a more precise guesstimate! "Before the end of the year" is as good as nothing at this point.
