So the wife doesn't approve of my "rent a Rezound" plan. Ugh.

When I told her what I wanted to do, she rolled her eyes and said "Just wait, it's only a few more weeks."

Shaking my POS Blackberry, I pleaded "But I want a phone now! I'm tired of waiting, and I'm sick of AT&T!"

Rolling her eyes once again while sighing, she asked "When does your billing cycle with AT&T run out?"

I then logged into my account on AT&T wireless, and "...uh, hmm, December 23rd."

With a satisfied smile, she responded "Well, if it gets delayed past December 23rd, let me know."

Just curious...why wouldn't you go to T-Mobile instead? Their new value pay as you go plans are ridiculously cheap. If I end up ditching Verizon I'll be getting an unlocked phone and going to T-MO

This thread actually helped fuel my anticipation for this phone, about 2 or 3 rumored 'release dates' ago. Now it is just making me sad.

I just checked my corporate store and asked the rep about info on the gnex. What do you want to know he said. Obviously I asked for a release date and he said between the 21st and the 27th with no hesitation. I also asked them if that date was current as of today and he said yes. They also have accessories but aren't selling them.

Hopefully it can at least add a point or two to the gnex morale

Thanks. No, I can't stay away. It's a problem for which the only cure is a Nexus (or my family putting me in a room with no electronics which could happen)

I understand your point I personally am getting really sick of Verizon playing games though. Stevens post earlier just shows they can careless about anything but making money.

Pray tell, by what games has evil Verizon played on us? Verizon has publicly stated by the end of the year. That's it.

They haven't stated 11/3, 11/21, 11/28, 12/8 or any other date, then yanked it and held it back and gave us another date, to yank again, etc. I know I'll be in the minority of this opinion, but the real culprit is all the false released info we get, that gets our hopes up, and then we blame Verizon for toying with us.

This isn't a criticism of some of our fine sources and other information that was leaked around the web. They are providing the latest information they can, but the problem is, the date is changing. Be if for technical or strategic reasons, Verizon isn't ready to release this.

But in all fairness, Verizon has NOT given us any false info so far. Now if Dec 31st comes around and we don't have it, I'll pick up the pitchforks with everyone else and storm the castles.

We should have done a poll on what date the Gnex would be released. Could have had it where if you where everyone that guesses gives a dollar could only guess once and could only guess if the mod got your money if you picked the date it would be released you won the cash if multiple people guessed the same day they would be put in a hat and drawn... Kind of like guessing the date a baby would be born at work. I think it is too late for this phone maybe the next big one lol

T-Mobile service is horrible in my area. They are at the bottom of the carrier list.

I was really hopeful about the 21st, more so than any other day since we saw that first leak for that day. As of now however I am not feeling so great about it. I think at this point if we dont hear anything by monday in terms of an official day we should start shipping VZW headquarters empty ice cream sandwich boxes to let them know we are sick of waiting and want a firm date! Any thoughts?

Can someone explain to me why someone with such inside information is sitting around in a tshirt taking a picture of their laptop's screen rather than just using, say, a screenshot? They obviously weren't trying to pull information at work without anyone noticing.

From my personal experience tmobile coverage can be quite spotty. The one year I had tmobile there were more places I Couldn't get service than I could get service

The problem with Verizon regarding this launch isn't false information. It's *no* information. If Verizon had been more transparent regarding their plans for this launch, the false information would never have had the chance to take root. By keeping us in the dark, they are creating the conditions that make us susceptible to just about every rumor that pops up.
