***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Just a thought:
What if Verizon pulled a fast one on us and announced something tonight? That would make my weekend all the more awesome.
ALERT: I'M NOT SAYING I HEARD ANY RUMORS OR KNOW ANYTHING. I'm just saying that would be pretty cool. SO DON'T USE ME AS A SOURCE! lol

They did announce the GNex on a Friday late afternoon, but I think it's way past that time.

Monday will be the first we hear any official info, at best.

I'm calling shenanigans on it, because it could very well be some mocked up official-looking MS Word document... hell ANYONE with MS Word can make something like that look official, so I'm not counting on it, esp. since it was apparently only that one store that got the memo and if something like that showed up at a store it would be an all-stores thing. So I'm calling BS on it.

I second this.

I would take the 16GB for sure, but will not pay more than $199 for it.

Yes. This is what I would go with too. I mean the 16GB all mighty Fruity phone (insert puke face here) goes for $199. At this point the standard in smartphones is 32GB so that is where the premium price is. If you going to try and sell me something lower you better be doing it at a reduced price.

I go back to what I said earlier. What if it isn't a change and the first version of the page was a mistake and this is the correct information? Just because a few test phones had 32GB doesn't mean that's what they finally decided on. Remember there were 16GB test phones too, and ones with 1.5GHz processor clocks and we see how that went.

My point is that we can't confidently state as fact at this point that is will definitely be 32GB because we can't definitively say it would be a change at this point. Who knows maybe Verizon wanted the 32GB version and Samsung could only ship the 16GB version at this point due to component shortages.

This is unlikely. They are not going to bring out a 16gb phone. And what shortage are you talking about for hard drive space?

I dont know the more and more i read this thread the more and more people seem to have their minds made up and then the rest follow into the delusion of this thread. How about we stop speculating. We have enough pages of that already.

True rumors are the ones you like to hear, and fake ones are the ones you don't like.

Unfortunately, that's what many of these things seem like. Hard to tell anymore. I thought it was far too strange that we get 11/21, and suddenly everyone and thier grandmom was confirming accessories in store, and managers confirming things, and corporate VPs acknowledging next week.

Then we get today, and it seems that everyone is coming out of the woodwork confirming the 12/8 date.

In the end, chose which rumor you like to believe, and wait for the official Verizon announcement, because that's the only one that matters.

I'm gonna agree with you only cause i don't know if I can take a delay past the end of November, this is totally getting rediculous!!!!

He mentioned it several times.

As a caution though, the models he got his hands on had a smaller 1750mAh battery too. So you never know exactly what to expect until the official announcement.

I just looked it up here and there. 32gb comes from "the sources", P3's production model, and the costco chart.

Just kind of makes you wonder if everybody's assumption lead to "fact".

That would be yours truly. :D

Kisses to you too. That was awesome!

what link? the source?

The source and video. You guys got me covered, thanks.

Link to what?

Nvm. But thanks

Its criminal that this video only has 26 views, so awesome!!!

Someone should post it to Verizon's wall. I know they won't get some of it but it is still funny. Would be fun to see how many of us can get blocked from posting. :D

Been following the thread since page 64 or so... coming out of lurking to say hi. Have/had a nexus one until the speaker died, so I got a POS HTC Aria to hold me over until SGN. I hate that phone, and it's hard to go from a clean google experience to HTC bloated sense. If I don't get SGN soon I think I am going to have to root my phone, which I'm sort of nervous about...

BB - Love the avatars... :)

Welcome to the never ending roller coaster.
And thanks.

I have to say I agree. :(

So have we confirmed yet the delay is because Verizon is pulling out 16GBs from every phone by hand?

No that would be impossible since the memory is soldered to the boards internally and most likely a single 32GB chip.

Actually there is no confirmation at all for whether it's 16 or 32GB at this point (at least in my opinion).
