***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I'm sorry, I haven't been able to locate how we got to the December 8th date - did we get an announcement from Verizon?

Nope, some improbable and likely fake screencap of a screencap of some Microsoft Word document that could very well have been typed up to throw us off... tl;dr, no 12/8 has not been confirmed by Verizon and it's probably not coming that late.

Still looking for the number of people who have participated int his thread :) that could really surprise them!

I know Steven said a while back we were approaching 1 million views.
I PMed Hans...since he's a lawyer to see if he'd lend his expertise also?

I like the email Scott!

I just noticed something else on the Google's tech spec page for the GNex.
www.google.com/nexus/#/tech-specs

Under Network, it says "Varies." Although it lists some specs for the LTE version, which is obviously VZW, under network it doesn't say CDMA or HSPA+, etc, so maybe Google didn't really intend this page as applying specifically to the VZW version.

Based on everything I've seen and read so far, I still think we're getting a 32gb Nexus on VZW.

Here's my draft:

Help me edit it if necessary :)

Just a suggestion, but I would add 2 things:
1) With out a confirmed release date, potential galaxy nexus owners are now taking part in the rent a Razor/Rezound program. They are planning on returning the Razr and Rezound phones they have purchased once the Galaxy Nexus is released.
2) Unfortunately, the only other option Verizon Wireless customers currently have is to move on to another carrier, who currently carry phones that are somewhat comparable to the Galaxy Nexus.

Either decision, whether customers choose option 1 or 2, is evidence of a lack of customer service and appreciation on the part of Verizon Wireless. For those of us that have been long-time Verizon Wireless customers, this is an extremely disappointing turn of events.

Good point, I will add it now :)

Oh and could I get a quick stat on how many active members participate (or have participated) in this thread? Then I could provide a stinger:

Thanks for your time,
Scott Greene (and X people on AndroidForums.com)

;)

Steven said the thread had over 800,000 views at some point yesterday, but I don't know how many active members there are.

Did you mean to say "They are planning on renting" or "They are planning on returning?"

In either case, I understand your intent and think it's an outstanding point to include in the letter.

Anyways, getting back to my email;
What should I change/add? And should we plan on attacking their inboxes with it (as in all of us do our part and send our own copy) or just hope they take notice with this one email?

I'm afraid if all were encouraged to send their own copies, the emails might be appended with some less attractive language, as some may want to let off some steam. One email to all, and follow it up as Verizon responds, or fails to respond.
