I hope the gnex forums are right and it is just a typo/error. If VZW doesn't carry the 32GB version that is just a slap in the face of real android fans.

I heard that they were going to release the 16 GB version, and then a few months later do the 32 GB version, which sounds like the whole DVD market, first they release the "collector's edition", then they release the "Collector's edition with director commentary", then they release the "Definitive collection series with deleted scenes", and then finally they come full circle, "original theatrical release complete with deleted scenes and director commentary while he's in the bathroom"....Damn greedy bastards!

IMO that is one of the worst ideas ever. A 16 GB phone vs a 32 GB phone is not a $20 DVD vs a $50 DVD, if they wait there will be better phone out by the time the 32 GB nexus is released and the whole nexus on VZW will be looked at as a flop

That's what companies do now for some reason. Look at auto manufacturers, release a car with an "ok" engine, then a few months later release one with a turbo or an upgraded engine. The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Star Wars trilogy are a perfect example of what they do. Damn greedy mofos.....

I was all gungho for the Nexus, but i have some concerns with it. A) no one knows the release date B) the screen as it stands is not psuedo 4.7" screen.

I can't stand the waiting game anymore. I dont need the phone. My TB is great and works fine. Getting tired of hearing next week is the release date for the nexus.

I like my thunderbolt. I just ordered a rezound battery. So, if anything that will make me happier with the battery life. Even though i can get through the day and then some with moderate use.

Will just wait for the next crop of cell phones.

do you mean special additions? Because every car usually has 2 to 3 tiers during release.

At this point I can't see how VZW has done anything people can be upset about. They haven't announced a release date and then not met it, they just haven't announced a release date, if you have heard anything it was speculation and rumors.

I am sure other carriers have the same issues with phones that have no release date and people are expecting them to announce it sometime.

I agree verizon didn't do anything wrong, seeing that the Gnex already released overseas a status update would be a courteous good business decision. This is starting to feel like the TB release again.

Agreed it would be nice if they did, I am thinking the LTE version wasn't available as early as the other version a release date with specs would be great however. Being like the TB release is fine with me now if it is like the bionic release I wouldnt be happy.

Personally Ill be keeping my Bolt till my update comes along sometime around when 4.1 and the Quadcores are in full effect. I knew when I got my bolt that nothing else could break me away from it till the Quads were here. Hardware wise its better than quite a few dual core phones.

Psh, by the time my upgrade is due, 6-cores and 4gb RAM with 128gb flash will be standard :(

I just ask that the 5" screen size get more popular. Having been surfing on the Streak 5 a bit over the weekend while testing and installing a few things for the kids, it's amazing how much difference that little size increase can make.

No, but do you mean special "editions"? :p What I'm referring to is when a car manufacturer doesn't install the better motor until after they've sold enough of the regular motor to help with their CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) numbers. For instance, the Cadillac first came out with the CTS with a low HP motor before they came out with their 300 HP motor and then waited even longer before they came out with their supercharged V8, granted the V8 wasn't out yet, but the 300 HP V6 was.

Oh yeah and I've been "gone" for 2 weeks now, the Rezound is a very nice upgrade from the TB. Many of the quirks on the Thunderbolt have been resolved on the Rezound. I actually get 4G in my house (which I never got on the Thunderbolt).

Now thats what I'm talking about, a screen size we can finally see something on!!!!!!

I'm actually more disappointed now, seeing the specs completely for the VZW Nexus, compared to the other carrier options.

Lower cameras (5 MP vs 8 MP, and 1.3 front vs 2 MP). Not that it makes THAT much difference, but really?

1.2 Dual Core, instead of the 1.5 that AT&T and T-Mobile got

32 GB internal memory, yay, but not expandable? The others got a slot, what gives.

The only thing that it has over the others, is the HD SuperAMOLED screen. Don't get me wrong, it should look amazing, but...I dunno. I'm still on the fence, and at the moment, I don't see myself falling into the bandwagon just yet.

Don't get me wrong, comparing it to my Bolt is still a win on most fronts, but, I'm just surprised that the VZW version got the shaft in a few ways. Plus, VZW nixed the Google Wallet app option too for it, which was just..weird. I know they have ISIS or whatever coming out, but still...

Anyway, just rambling.

I think you are comparing it to the SGSII, no other US carrier has announced they are getting the nexus that I have seen but once they do it will have the same specs as the one on VZW.

The Google Wallet thing shouldn't bother you, t-mo also didn't allow the Google Wallet app on the Nexus S and it was hacked and made to work on the t-mo version. I am sure it will be the same with the VZW nexus.

True, it's comparing to the SII, which is the closest thing to it. Still kinda disappointing, that a model out already is still got some one-ups on the new hotness. I don't plan on the Wallet myself anyway, I just found that sort of amusing that it was requested to be left out. Agreed though, just a matter of time before a way around it is found.

I think my ultimate factor will be once we get on in the store for me to get my hands on.

Out of all the features that the tbolt is missing, the one I want is nfc compatibility but since no Verizon phone will offer Google wallet, its pointless. I know I can root but I only root my phones to get updates early so the gnex would have given me tat out of the box. If I could, I'd buy an lte gnex from Samsung directly if it were pure Google.
