Whats the best browser in your opinion? I have not been too impressed with the browser performance on the Note. Coming from an old HD2, I was expecting iPhone like smoothness when scrolling but haven't seen that on the Note yet. It still exhibits choppiness during scrolling. Am I missing something or is that the way Android is? Any browser that doesn't do this?

If browser mark and sunspider benchmarks are anything to go by, Opera is pretty good.

Its my default browser as it also does text reflow which the stock browser don't.

Hope that helps.

ok, after trying opera on mines, I can say that it is indeed really good! It makes the stock browser look really crap. I'm gonna use this till something better might come out. Any other suggestions?

I use the Dolphin browser because it is the nearest I can find to Google Chrome with a Favourites bar and Favourites folders which I automatically sync with Chrome on my laptop. Like Chrome, there are loads of add-ins to increase the usefulness and a comprehensive range of settings including desktop mode and Flash.

However, there is one particular web site which I use frequently where Dolphin is unstable and difficult to use and I solved that by using SkyFire with the Skype keyboard. So I use Dolphin all of the time except for the one difficult site. Dolphin is not the fastest or most data efficient browser, but it is fast enough for me and I do most of my browsing using WIFI so data usage is not a problem.

Yeah, but who wants to look at mobile versions of web pages on a screen like this?
Stock is a big fail....and so is Samsung/Att for not enabling desktop options settings options.

I vote for stock at this moment. I've tried a few but didn't like them for various reasons, including lack of flash support which is bad a no-no for an aspiring browser. Stock looks plain, but works better than everything I've tried.
PS: didn't try Opera yet

I have noticed that sometimes the stock browser is iPhone smooth and other times it is choppy. Even on sites like theverge.com with flash enabled (desktop version) it can be very smooth and other times even after a reboot it may be very choppy (even in mobile view without flash). I haven't yet figured out why. Kind of like the screen wake up inconsistancy. Sometimes fast sometimes slow. Overall I do love this phone and am willing to live with a few kinks for this amazing screen.
