Just found a link that says the Nexus 1 has 2.1 update available already!!
New kid on the block gets an update will the rest of the android fones r still waiting for Rs!!!!
Really luv to hear ur excuse on this 1!!!!

AWESOME!!!! GOOGLE U GUYS R DOING A REALLY REALLY GOOD JOB OF PROMOTING THE IPHONE!!!!!

?? Multi-touch?Nexus One ???????? - DCFever.com

furious android user!!!!

you see, you can't blame Google... blame your carrier... they are who control the updates and when they get released...

the beauty of the Nexus One/Google model, is that is it truly *carrier-less*.... so Google is in charge of when an udpate gets rolled out... that's why they went that way... to have more control, without a carrier's politics and laziness get in the way...

One thing I have noticed here and on Google forums is the number of people that stomp their feet at Google because of the OS their phone manufacturer chooses to support.

Google did not manufacture, or sell you your phone (except N1). How is Google responsible for what OS *YOUR* manufacturer sells with the phone or supports?

This is one of the downsides of the free market vs. the monolithic control that Apple wields. Apple is content to be big brother. (and I think the iPhone is great btw except as a cell phone it blows chunks. And yes I have done my own comparisons on the same network. The iPhone is a sorry excuse for a radio.)

Now if Google would just release the N1 on a real network.

It already is! :D

It's too bad you fail to realise that...

All of us T-Mobile guys are enjoying the $h!t out of Nexus Ones... :p

...with the exception of those many users with 3G problems still. Not knockin, just wishing it would get real resolution (T-mobile needs to step up the roll out and Google needs to patch it better (and move the antenna to the top instead of bottom of the device))

IF YOUR PHONES MANUFACTURER FAILS AT MAKING 2.1 IT'S NOT GOOGLES FAULT.

I like writing in bold it's much easyer to read :D
this person has been told that already in this thread , and you felt the need to say it again. now thats fail. and that goes back to people that cant read through a thread b4 they post. good day ball kicker

Some N1 shipped with 2.0 some shipped with 2.1. Ill take 2.0 for now t-mobile !!!

what are you talking about? Every single Nexus One shipped with Android 2.1. The 2.1 update 1 came after, but I imagine after a while, Nexus Ones will start shipping with it preinstalled. Maybe that is what you are thinking of.

That or you're confusing the Nexus with the Moto Droid, which shipped with 2.01.
