How do I hide pics that I dont want others to see while scrolling through my pics??? Ive tired putting a "." in front of the name of the folder but it completely hides all the pics I still would like access to the pics without having to get on the computer and delete the "." to be able to see the pics. I would also like to know how do you turn off the vibration on the dialer when dialing and making calls???? Its sooo annoying it feels like 1000 little needles poking me

I'm not sure I can help you with the pictures thing. I have never worried about that so I have never looked into how to hide certain files. If you don't want to have to connect to a computer then you could use a file manager to rename the directory, or download terminal emulator from the market. Then you could just cd into the directory and rename it from the terminal on your phone.

Your other question I can help with though. From the home screen, here are a few shortcuts you might find useful:

1. To disable vibration during dialing and other random menu navigation go to Menu > Settings > Sound. Scroll near the bottom and the vibration option is called either "haptic feedback" or "vibrate feedback" depending on which ROM you are running (maybe you haven't rooted and you're still on the stock ROM). Just uncheck that box.

2. To disable vibrations while using the keyboard uncheck the box at Menu > Settings > Language & keyboard > Touch input > Text input > vibrate when typing.

3. To disable the sounds played when you dial phone numbers go to Menu > Settings > Sound > Audible touch tones.

Alternatively all you would have to do is create a new folder place the pics you don't want people to see and make that a hidden folder and when you wish to view them simply go into the folder and click on the picture. Do Note However that Windows does not attribute a folder with a "." as a hidden folder so If your phone is plugged in to the computer anyone with access can view these files. You can try the program Ocn suggested if that's the route you need to go.
