my memory is down to 58mb internally on my xperia play, and i dont have anywhere near a lot of apps, so i was just wondering what could be taking up the space besides the cache and history stored on the phone. Also my battery is drained very fast and i always have to charge it so i am wondering what it could be.

thanks in advance

1 Clik Cleaner, Android Booster, FMR memory Cleaner(free apps and stable with Xperia). All of this apps can help you gain some memory. You will be suprise that those cache sometimes will cost you 10 to 15mb. Now go to your settings -- application -- manage application from there click all your apps one by one and try to see if you can move it to your mcSD. Get a 32g Mcsd too, it's cheap less than $50.

Delete photos or video that you dont need even your call log.

Now ATT or Verizon install so many app that we dont need and some of this cannot be delete unless your phone is Rotted. Mine was down to 90 and right now im up to 200mb internall memory free.

Tell me if this dont work.

with Battery turn off the ff if your not using it....

bluetooth, wifi, dont use live wallpaper... that is like using a video continuously use just a simple wallpaper. turn off your auto sync just do a manual syn, your FB there is setting to turn off the refresh- just do a manual refresh. even in your email. dont use too many widget, turn off your GPS.

go to setting--- display---animation---- and use No animation.

^^^ dammmm Verizon. I dont know im ATT but seach it you know google, you tube, android forums, sony xperia forums rocks. I will try to search too but not now. but even not rooted you can free those MB because i have another Xplay for my son and he is not rooted and i was able to free memory and it's 170 right now. also try to see if you can delete some apps from verizon that you dont need.(make sure you don't need it, if your not sure dont delete it.)

can u give me any examples so i know what i should look for?

first you need to tell us what are your apps installed, i remove my att phonebook, att navigation, kindle, browser(i used dophins way better)yellow pages, all live wall paper,twiter..i dont twit, live tv,city id.books, att scanner, games i dont use.delete widget you dont need, i only use national weather channel widget. follow my initial tips/apps see what will be the gains. i like the android booster apps because there are so many apps that is still running that you dont know and you dont need and you can turn it off..saves battery and memory. dont do the rooting yet.

I do not have the verizon version, but it runs stock android instead of the usual sony version, so that's already going to make it faster. I would get rid of skype if you don't plan on using it.

see i have a task killer and it says i have 204mb but my apps settings says i only have 94 now that i cleaned some stuff out...so what should i go by
