First, I love my Triumph. As I mentioned in my first review I must have gotten one of the good ones. I've had no major problems with it. I did have to pull the battery a couple of times but as long as it's not a common thing I don't consider it a problem. My wife has had to pull her battery on her DroidX lots more than I have on my Triumph. (Not knocking DroidX's..she loves hers)

My GPS gets a lock faster than my Garmin Quest. I've tried it with WIFI, internet and just satellites alone and it works. I love the GPS feature about it. As I stated prior I did have to pull the battery a couple of times when the gps wouldn't lock at all. After reinstalling the battery... instant lock.

I've taken a few pictures with it and I'm pleased with them. I've taken videos of my cats and I have no complaints. I still need to video for a longer period of time but for now no problems.

The loudness of the Triumph over my Ipod Touch is unbeliveable. Sound quality with earphones is great.

I did root my phone this week with no problems.

I can't see any light leaking so that's good.

The battery use could be a bit better but if I keep everything off except for the phone it's ok. I carry a small charger with me in case I need it.

The one thing I don't like about it is that if there is any sunlight on the screen at all, the screen is almost impossible to see. I have the backlight on the brightest and still can't see it in sunlight. I put on an anti-glare screen cover hoping it would help but nope. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have to agree, mine has been fine. I get a similar signal to users on sprints htc evo 4g. All smartphones need the battery pulled from time to time. The gps lock is slower than an optimus but much faster than samsungs galaxy phones. My only complaint is an issue that strikes me as a coding error. when using bluetooth on my jawbone icon the phone works great. I can take calls and listen to podcasts, but let the phone go to sleep and the silly thing disconnects. Maybe its fates way of keeping me from walking around looking like a bluetooth headset dork. But if an update were to roll out that would be the major fix for me. A minor fix might be to make the signal appear to be stronger so folks will stop complaining. I can use the phone on a tower 35 miles away, it shows no bars and 1x speed but no complaints from the other caller. All in all nice job motorola.

I'll throw my two cents in and agree, too.
I've had mine since the day they came out in Florida: July 17th. I'm probably one of the lucky ones, but mine has worked flawlessly. GPS was slow to begin with but I used GPSFix on it and it's done well ever since. I have ZERO complaints about it, and I use it for everything!
Bluetooth, video Skyping, video Tango calls, ebooks and comic books, games, streaming video from every site I can, streaming music, ghost hunting . . . I've never had a problem with it.
But I understand that there are bad ones out there too. So it makes me extra happy to have had a good one from the start.

Got mine on launch day, no real complaints other than user initiated ones (I f'ed up the Clockopia font and got stuck in a boot loop :) )

The only complaints I have are really minor, occasionally I had the activate icon appear after a reboot, sometime I get a phantom notification LED, but those are minor annoyances, and every phone out there has minor annoyances. Initially I was getting terrible battery lie, but I rooted and unistalled a lot of bloatware, and somewhere along the line I must have done something or turned off some setting cause I get awesome battery life now.

I wasn't quite prepared for the "quality" of VM's network, but I'm happy for the service I get for what I pay for.

I just flashed to CM7, and it's all good.

That's just the nature of SLCD screens. AMOLED's look better in sunlight. But there's no workaround, it's just the way that panel type is, any phone with a SLCD will have the exact same issue.

I can also say that I love my Triumph. I've had it since August. I rooted it, I've used multiple versions of CM7 and I have used MIUI on it as well. My favorite configuration is CM7 with ICS theme and Go Launcher EX with ICS theme. I get great reception at work, so-so reception at home and other places around town, fast wi-fi downloads at home, decent battery life, and a great cheap plan from VM. This is the best phone they have. I keep hoping for more and better phones from VM.

Interesting, I seem to be in the opposite boat. I really like the phone, but my GPS takes minutes to lock, if it ever does.

In all lighting conditions but the brightest, I get a painfully obvious green blob in my camera photos.

The speakers built in are great, but there is a lot of noise that makes it into the headphones. It seems they didn't know how to lay out PCBs. The problem is most noticeable when the screen is on.

The top bit of my touch screen has now stopped working, preventing me from dragging down the notification bar. Maybe I just got a bad phone? It seems that Huawei's quality control is horrendous. Or at least one of the factories'.

I'm now running CM7. I had to ask a few questions, since I'm a newbie at all of this, but it's working great. Everything that is suppose to work does work. I think they said the HDMI doesn't work but I don't use that anyway.

The battery life is definetly better. Still getting good reception on gps. I did download GPS Fix and use it but everything is working great.

Still loving my Triumph.
