because your riding season is like 60 days....

Minnesota has a pretty short riding season, and (at least as of a few years ago), has (or had), the highest # of motorcycle registrations per capita of any state in the Union.

I miss riding every Winter, but I would miss Winter even more. Almost time to break out the snowmobiles and snowboard!

Testing never ends, per se, they just finish with established test scenerios and give it the green light.

But if they have an internal date for estimated date of completion, and find other errata, then that date gets pushed back.

Poor choice of words...I am aware testing never ends. But I am looking for a "green light" date. Which I am sure all of us are.

Yeah, but I think I read somewhere that PenTile gets less and less crappy the higher the resolution. But not sure.

SAMOLED screens have a great reputation. I highly doubt that they're going to trash it with a crappy display all of a sudden. I think Moto went the cheap route.

Okay guys. What's stranger, that someone copied an old post I did, or that I actually remember what I posted?

What the heck??

Man, motorola makes/uses some bad screens though. The pentile is highly noticeable on this razr.
You should look at the Bionic instead. Make the RAZRs screen look great.

Pentile isn't as noticable on SAMOLED screens as it is on LCD.

Still, the DInc and SGS phones all had Pentile AMOLED screens, and there are quite a few happy users of those devices. Only the SGSII got the SAMOLED+ screens, which were rgb.

The GNex also uses pentile, but at the higher resolution, you shouldn't be able to tell as much. Large color fills would be the worst offenders showing banding.

I use ctrl-r more than f5.

The F5 button on my laptop is bound to increasing the brightness and I have to hold down Fn to actually perform F5 so I do the same.

Ugh, check out this page and especially the comment replies. I had no idea there was such variation in how F5 works, and Ctrl-F5, etc.

Am I the only one tired of reading posts about this stupid return policy? Either post in the Verizon section or call up Verizon themselves and ask them directly. /rant

Yesssssssss. For those who still wanna beat that topic to death in a thread not actually about return policies (i.e., this one), see how many Thankses th0r615 got for their post.

Ha! Basically if it's fast or classic or has huge tires or is loud or a combination of those I'm all in.
And I melt for just 2 wheels and some loud pipes

Remind me why I got rid of the motorcycle. :(

I'll give you my GSX-R when you pry it from my cold, dead hands!

(Unfortunately, it'll be more than a little cold around here real soon now. Sigh.)

I'm not worried about the nexus screen at all because I know it'll look great. I remember reading somewhere that motorola uses some different pentile technology (????) or something that makes their screens looks worse than other phones.

And even LCD RGBW Pentile looks OK, so long as you keep brightness at a minimum and ruin the one big advantage it has which is it's max brightness capability without draining battery.

I can't keep up with this thread much longer at the rate that these posts are coming in at, and it's extremely difficult to keep track of who's talking about what.

So I think I'm gonna go for tonight and try to actually do homework ;)
I may not even be back on until I hear a new date that's before 12/8. If not then I suppose I'll see you all then.

(Watch, I'll be back on in like 5 minutes :p)

Good night to all and to all a good night. Info tomorrow? Lets hope!

Good night!

BB are you referring to the potential Dec. 1st release?

I'm referring to the testing that they were doing and the fact that while they are hopeful to release it soon, they have only thus far committed to release it by the end of 2011

I'll give you my GSX-R when you pry it from my cold, dead hands!

I don't want it. I love being the passenger. :D

OK so it seems the vzw double data promotion ends on the 30th of November and the Nexus is not coming in November. Looks like I have to buy a Rezound and exchange it for a nexus to get on the data thing.

I am thinking costco would be the place to buy the nexus once it comes out because they give 90 day exchange on phones for any problems. Sooooo I guess I should pick up a rezound at costco this week. Are there any drawbacks? I will be upgrading a family plan line.
