***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

If the Nexus doesn't come out by December 8th I.....I might actually keep the razr.

:O

I told anyone who would listen about 400 pages ago (i.e. last week) that the RAZR was a great phone. Love the black, blue and gray theme it comes with...If it felt better in my hand I'd still have it...But the thing is smokin' fast.

Han, please don't stop posting stuff from Hanetta. But if you do, please include me in your list. Maybe you should start a Google + Circle and include people you want to share to. What is your G+ link?

I don't have G+. It's kind of intimidating. I wouldn't know where to start.

For all my posts, and I'm not very net savvy. I don't know weird acronyms, don't have a facebook page, and I just started Twitter so I could follow Jay Cutler.

I'm going to wait to play with one before I make a decision. My Xoom seems to get buggier and slower as time goes on. It is too erratic as a browsing device, and horrible as a media player (thanks to Tegra2). I want to see if the Tegra3 makes a difference. I also kind of wanted a 1080p one.

At this point I'm thinking Verizon can go to you know where with their phones. I told myself if I didn't have the phone by the end of my staycation this week, I'm not getting it. My X is a adequate phone with CM7 on it. I hated the Razr's screen and will never buy a Blurred/encrypted bootloader from Motorola again. The Rezound was a bit slow for my taste and I don't trust HTC too much either. Verizon just cost themselves a renewal before Xmas, and most likely a customer next year.

Costco has a 90 day exchange policy where you can exchange your phone for any other phone and simply pay the difference. Just check with your local Costco.

I got my Bionic from Costco on Sep 8 and desperately need the Nexus to drop BEFORE Dec 8. If it goes beyond the first week in Dec, I am stuck with Bionic as my 90 day window will be over.

Thanks :D, but lets say for example that the Nexus no contract price is $799. Will I have to pay $799-Rezound price or can I pay $299 (Galaxy Nexus price hopefully)-rezound price?

I've taken a few looks at it, and it is super fast. Did you get the feeling, though, that the screen was a little darkish?

I tried playing with the brightness setting, took it off automatic and turned it all the way up, but still not very bright. The weird thing is that the brightness setting has something like "ambient light" attached to it, which I didn't understand.

Other than the screen, it was very nice.

But you're funny, and protective of your family and friends, and seem like a good guy so all the rest is small in comparison.

There is some indication that the promotion runs through the end of the year. To help avoid the dilemma that you describe, I am hoping that Rob will consider clarifying this with Verizon Wireless. If you have not seen them already, Rob's post is here, and my answer to his questions and request is here.

My sister works in a verizon call center, I'll ask her tomorrow if she knows anything about it

BTW not sure if this has been pointed out yet, but:
Galaxy Nexus review | The Verge
Look at the Q&A session... right off the bat it seems Gmail doesn't have pinch-to-zoom in ICS :( Big disappointment IMO. How the f**k am I supposed to read HTML emails? :/

You would think a google app in a google OS would be great huh? I have the DInc and gmail is garbage on my phone, actually works better in the browser.

Yeah, I think "darkish" is a fair assessment, IMO. I guess I got used to it and the saturation was a nice change from the T-Bolt I'm using now. Having a couple of days to reflect on it, I'd say I definitely liked it a lot. Pixelation was a non issue for me, but I'm not sensitive to that sort of thing.

Not sure if this has any significance, but I just decided to sign up for GNex emails on my other email address and got this message upon completing the form:

"Thanks for signing up. Your emails will begin arriving soon."

IIRC the first time I signed up it didn't say that second part...

Also I was looking at some of Miami's tweets from a few days ago and he said this:

https://twitter.com/#!/Miami1683/status/137636255176458240

Now I'm not saying that we should necessarily count on anything coming tonight or next Monday but just a thought...

The Gmail app is the same across all devices (except for the new version in ICS, which apparently didn't add a zoom in/out feature like I was hoping for).

I noticed the same thing when I looked at it. I opened up a webpage on both the Rezound and the Razr and held them side by side. It looked a lot darker on the Razr.

well the 21st has come and gone, so I think that throws a wrench in that tweet...
