I guess that gokhanmoral is "pushing the envelope" on tweaks to this kernel
13% discharge in 1 hour browsing... fook that!
Can't decide whether to drop 6 back in or go for something else... maybe summat stable.
Wow, 3 times a day? What a PITA! Mind you, games will hammer it... could be a duff batt I suppose but I'd be inclined to try a stable kernel known to give good stats (ninphet?) before splashing out on a new battery... then again, a spare battery is never a bad idea.
Im considering one of those clip on battery units . Makes the phone a bit chunkier but i know they work.
Here's what I've tried ;
Numerous kernels , all siyah betas , ninpth 2.1.3 , cfroot , speedmod .
Different Roms including villain and check.
Checked wakelocks.only wakelock is wi fi now..
Underclocking , powersaving mode, powersaving governors and several battery apps from the market not to mention the battery calibration method from xda ...
Still i have never seen less than 10-15% battery drain over night left in sleep mode.
It shut my phone down, thought it was bricked as it took three long attempts on the power button before the boot logo showed... luckily I didn't have the governor set on boot!.
Well, nearly 7 hours in with Siyah 2.2rc1 on lulzactive, 100->1200MHz, no Profiles and stock voltage.
Looking good!
Scrolling is smooth in the Launcher Pro app drawer, first time since beta6.
No FC's or SOD's.
Loads of Deep Sleep.
Minimal wakelocks.
Will keep monitoring it but the early signs are good for me... this of course means, judging by past experience, this will be rubbish for Sydney99.
Welcome to the wonderful world of beta flashing!
You can always recognise a beta flasher by their, to qoute Rhys Ifans in the film Notting Hill, "nice, firm, buttocks".
This is because beta flashers spend most of their time clenching and un-clenching their buttocks when trying a new ROM, kernel or app.
Will keep monitoring it but the early signs are good for me... this of course means, judging by past experience, this will be rubbish for Sydney99.
