This opens up a lot of possibilities. The apps all developed for adobe air being able to run on a droid? This is amazing and awesome, I can't wait to find out more of this as it evolves.

Yeah, I agree. 1 thing I just thought about. Sling has said their player is being ported to flash (for mobile and PC). They also said Android would be the first OS to receive the new flash version of the player. Seems to me they are going to be using AIR so they can just port it to wherever after the Android release...Good news all around from MWC!

Love the fact that he is sitting next to a Mac using a Droid.

a dude on another forum said maybe it was a subtle hint to apple, like see guys! look what you are missing out on!

and yeah, whenever people tell me about all the games on iphone etc etc, i tell them we are getting flash and it will like quadruple all the iphone games cause most of them started out as free flash games! they kinda look at me like, "really" i have to grin and tell them iphone won't see that for a while! now we get air too! man! iphone is toast for people who think its sooo high on a pedestal

As a flash dev I've been a bit disappointed with AIR to be honest. Very cool that it's coming but the security model for it is very restrictive from a developer's point of view.

For example, if an air developer wants to write an app that has access to the file system, they aren't allowed access to the internet. (oversimplification, but you get the idea).

It's sad really because Adobe is so frightened about all the haters on the web associating their name with the word "virus" when in reality, Flash is no more dangerous that JavaScript.
