Help HTC Syncing Phone Contacts

Hi there

On my desire HD I have a lot of phone contacts that I wish to sync with outlook. I have the contacts box checked in the activesyc settings.

There seems to be any phone contacts that I recently added but any of my older contacts just do not sync.

I cannot work out why some (very few) would but most do not.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction for this?

Whilst I have been continuing to look into this I notice that if I look at my contacts in "people" there are very few contacts - these seem to be syncing. However I have loads more contacts in my phone than this - I have no idea where they are stored but I can see them in the call history and I can access them when pressing the "phone" button and starting to type the start of the name.

So perhaps the issue is not with syncing but getting my contacts to appear under "people"

Any clues?

I now went into people > view and "phone" was not selected so I can now see all people in the "people" list but still unable to sync them to outlook.

I've never used activesync or synced with outlook sorry.

I know some folk have said MyPhoneExplorer does a better job of syncing than HTC Sync if you want to give that a try?

I have now used HTC sync to get all my contacts into outlook then I have synced with my phone, and removd duplicates.

So whilst this may not be the correct solution, it is a solution and now my old contacts are there and new ones should autoamtically upload!
