I purchased a N2a card for my Nook Color and installed it. For some reason the Launcher button doesn't appear on the home page. I found another icon that i can use to use the apps that are already installed but it won't let me install new apps. I get an "error" message. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

So N2A is a sdcard with CM7 preinstalled on it.

You DO realize that every time someone buys one of these overpriced sdcards, a kitten dies? :D

Sounds like an issue for the person you purchased it from. Have you asked them for a new card or support?

See the limited market sticky in the root section. If you uninstall market updates you should be able to install apps from Market.

Four cats -- well, three plus a cocker spaniel in a cat suit -- all living
-- AND --
I have an N2A card.

1. email to support @ n2acards dot com. They have been very VERY
helpful for me.

2. I chose to spend some money rather than spend my time. After spending a couple of evenings trying to gather all of the parts and make
my own, I "wrote a check" without regrets. Though I'm a technical guy,
there were too many uncharted details for me to wrap around in the time
I wanted to spend on something without any guarantees of meeting my needs.

My N2A Nook Color works wonderfully.

My complaints stem from Android having too many phone-oriented details
in its current incarnation. Since the N/C is not a phone, Q.E.D.

According to Dalingrin, phone apps on the NC are just place-holders and shutdown when it sleeps (unlike phone radios) and therefor don't use any power. He says that's why he can get a month of sleep time on his NC. This was a post on Rootzwiki which I just read last night. :D

Like vendor required apps on phones, phone anything on N/C are in the way. I'd like to make them go away -- something I'm trying to do with folders and similar. I had already discovered that they are not running.

Cheers,
