If it ain't broke don't fix it, and if your version is rootable the next one may not be... I would suggest waiting for more personal experienced info before ever updating your os.

My admire has a problem. After the update it deleted ALL MetroPCS bloat ware. Android market does NOT work. Any ideas?

I can't imagine a software update pushed by samsung would be a detriment to the usage of the phone its meant for, something you did before updating had to be the cause of the apps being deleted. Most likely you deleted them before but what most people don't realize is that once you delete a system app a factory reset don't bring it back, with the Optimus it needed to be pushed through adb, i am unsure of the process for the admire but I imagine it will be similar.

I recently got my admire after my phone older admire was stolen. It is not even a month old. I left all my apps and bloatware as is before the update.

When saying "as is" are you saying you never deleted any bloatware from the phone period or deleted some before updating but not after? I am sorry if I am missing something stated I'm overly tired which results in me being easily overly confused lol.

Well, I still need to register my admire with samsung so I am doing that and shooting support an email to see if I can help you out with what caused the deleting of system apps needed to keep the phone stable, I'll post the reply here as soon as I receive it.

Here is the email I sent, support is not working today given the holiday but will most likely answer asap tomorrow and I will share what they offer as explanation and hopefully solution.

Firstly, the admire was not an option in the drop down menu for me so I chose one close.

My concern is that the recent software update released by you guys has caused some peoples phones to end up unstable or un usable. To be more specific, a handful of people have claimed that it deleted important stock apps/programs from metro pcs, in one or more case the update deleted all metros stock software. My question is what could be the cause of this? Is it a buggy update released with minimal testing or could it be a mistake by the ones who are installing the update, if the latter then please inform me of the exact mistake/mistakes that can cause this issue so that I can pass on the info and if you could possibly produce a fix for the issue for the ones who have fallen victim that would be great. Thank you and I appreciate your time in answering and hopefully solving the issues I have presented you with.
