So I have had really no problems with my Esteem since I bought it on Sept 30th until the last 2 days. Two days ago I was holding my phone and I believe the screen was off and I heard the 'Hello, Hello, Hello' sound, and the screen was blank when it played the sound and I though uh oh, it just rebooted. But it did not reboot, in fact it was off and I had to turn it back on. It happened again last night while the screen was on but the screen went off and again I heard the bootup sound, nothing on screen and it was off again. So its not actually rebooting but turning off.

I am rooted, 8gb Sandisk SD card, extended battery, prl 3019, ZVB update and I have Go Launcher, Esteem optimizer, and the only widgets running are Check It Off Pro (todo list), Clarus Widgets (battery/wifi info) and Minimilistic Text (clock widget).

I did have my phone reboot twice last week but it was after I updated G Launcher, went back to previous version and have had no reboots since, except for the power offs.

So I guess I am going to see how long this happens before I do anything like reset to factory and see if this ZVC update comes at the end of the month. Just wondering if anyone else has seen any problem like this?

My phone does that ocassionally as well, but I suspect it's maybe a short or something when you have the usb cable plugged in and it wiggles a little bit. Doesn't seem to happen when it's just unplugged, just if i'm messin with it while it's charging.

Mine and my gf's esteems' were turning off as well or so i thought, they were actually rebooting but it kinda seems they would turn off because they would take a while to restart after they "turned off". Had the phones rooted with the "updated" root and ever since, not right away, they had been turning off.
Today we had enough and decided we wanted to exchange them so i unrooted them and hard reset both of them and ever since they havent rebooted. I'm deciding to test them a few days, see if it was some sort of app or the "updated" root that was making the phones reboot. I had almost all of the "go" free apps installed which i havent installed this time. I want to install the regular root, but i dont know if i should since they say that i will have problems trying to root again if i decide to uninstall. Unrooting the phone with the "updated" root was very easy.

I also heard about an LG update that might be coming soon to fix the rebooting issue as they think it might be the software. It's mentioned in one of these threads.
Anyway hope this helps in any way.

Forgot to mention one thing, my phone came with the prl something-19 and hers the 18 one, that must probably mean something...

AND another thing, i have exactly 1 week with the phones.

I used the original root on both my Esteems (One bricked and I got it replaced but not due to root) and have had no problem and both had the B update.

Cool, thanks for the input, i will try it :D. I hope it's just the software on the phone that was making the phone reboot... but like i said i'm still not rooted and have no "go" apps and the phone has been like an angel, it used to reboot almost every time i finished using the phone, txt, call, market, etc and also when it was just in sleep mode, im' estimating like 8 times during the whole day. I will try the original root and leave my gf's esteem factory conditioned.

ALSO, same time i rooted the "updated" root i also had kanaidas app optimizer installed as well. I'm sure the app was not the cause, i hope!

well, according to "people" the next incoming update will fix that plus more stuff.....

if it is my powering off problem you are referring to, I finally unistalled the esteem optimizer app and my power offs went away. So I am back to no more issues!

But I am glad there is an update coming to solve all the other peoples problems such as random rebooting. Should be soon.....
